    Oh when the saints ......

How much is it ok for the Swans to go down to the saints next week ?? I would imagine not 100 points ??
For me anything under 50 would be ok, and if we get within 20 I would be quite impressed.

Tony Jones ended his Sunday review show on channel 9 here in Melbourne commenting on the Sydney v St Kilda game with:

"Sydney will be St Kilda's next 100 point loss next week".

Let's just hope no one sees us coming next week.

        What a load of @@@@

We are a definate chance against the Saints and it will do us good to start as underdogs for once.

They beat Carlton by 100 points. So what, Carlton are rubbish.

        Swans by 15

I really can't wait for this game!

The potential for an upset cannot be underestimated.
We have been able to take it up to the Lions for the last couple of years so I reckon we're in with a good chance.

If not, so be it. I wont be devastated. I have a lot of respect for this St Kilda side.

At the very least a packed SCG is going to GO OFF!

one thing on our side is that we have a good defensive record.

            The ladder sorted by points against;

            763 St Kilda
            802 Fremantle
            844 Sydney
            869 Brisbane
            882 Melbourne
            900 Geelong
            936 Adelaide
            960 Port Adelaide
            981 Kangaroos
            989 Collingwood
            1014 Richmond
            1024 Essendon
            1029 Hawthorn
            1080 Western Bulldogs
            1094 West Coast
            1108 Carlton

3rd best defense. and we haven't been flogged this yr. So I imagine the boys will be pumped up for this game.

Captain, Have you seen the saints this year ? Their boys are htting targets and putting themselves on the line for each other. Their commitment and skill has been superior to anything the Swans have dished up this year (oh except maybe for the second Quarter againt the Roos).
Anyway I just thought I should warn you cos otherwise you are liable to be a bit pissed off next week, with the boys.
Any ways I love to see a team in form and the saints are that so it should be enjoyable at least on that level.

We will give these nuffbags a lesson in football. Ill be surprised if their heads can fit through the players race this weekend. Once our odds are over $4.50, im puttin woteva i got on us. For some reason im feeling very confident about this game. Hopefully we will attack similar to the Qualifying Final!!

                  Are you serious?

I'm sorry but the Swans have set themselves a bench mark last year, that they should be living up to this year, and they have showed this year that they can play the same footy as last year, its just that not playing it as consistently.

I will be disapointed if we don't win this game, just as i feel the same about every game we play, because I believe that if we play to 100% we can beat anyone, even if there at 100% too.

Lets not forget that the games Sydney have lost (eg Melbourne, Essendon) is where the opposition played an unusual style to combat Sydney. The hunted us. They played man on man defensive.

Do you seriously think the saints will go into this game in a defensive frame of mind ? We are the hunter this time.

Opened up games are what we are good at.

OK I shouldn't say anything under 50, but definatley anything inder 25 will be almost as good as a win in this situation. I mean lets be reasonable.
It would be amazing if they did win, but we have been in poor form for about 2 months, and the two matches we have one have been againt very lowley sides.
The saints on the other hand are in the best form of perhapes anyteam ever ! (big call I know but it is possible) , they have beaten teams in all possitions on the ladder, and to top it off, they have no injuriesor reports and we have half the team out now with Saddo and nick.
What do you want me to do put my head in the sand with everybody else ??
It is a legitimate question I recon. We don't want any suicides, if the side goes down by say 48 points, when in fact that might be quite respectable under the circumstances.

Cannot believe your conservatism Footyhead. I'm quietly confidence that we as a team will apply ourselves very well on Sunday, just as we did a couple of years ago against the all-conquering Bombers.

I can't put it down to anything statistical or anything; I just know this clubs's moods. I know that the players will be excited about playing the top team, as should be us supporters. I know I'm already getting tingles, as you just know that you generally raise your game when better standard teams hit town.

We are a team that goalkicking aside is starting to find its feet. we should have beaten the Dogs by 70 yesterday, but didn't.

I can always tell by how switched on the players are by how much noise and geeing up there uis when they ran out with the banner. Against yesterday they ran through it in near silence.

We CAN lift 1000% percent from how we played against the Dogs. I'm not going to be arrogant and say we will definitely win. But I just have this 6th sense that we will surprise a lot of people with our effort on Sunday.

We CAN win for sure! It's time to start getting excited for Sunday.

                          BELIEVE, everybody!!!

I would think we'd win by a couple of goals. But I guess (as last week showed), I'd be happy with a one point win.

I wonder if the people who are blindly having faith in the Swans are the ones who also never tip against the Swans.

Funny how if you say you tip with your head, you are a logical supporter, yet if you say thet the Swans will probably lose next week, you border on being a traitor....

Personally, I like to remain positive and am hopeful we can win.
On any given day any team can win IMO.
And then you have how well a team matches up on the other team.
                              etc
                              Lots of variables.

So I hope for a win, but won't be slitting my writs if we lose either...
