    Yeah, the lively (is that the right word?) debate on trading in several threads underlines how difficult it's going to be for the recruiting team to come up with the right trade.

    It's all very well Roos coming out with statements about the type of players the Swans are going to look for . . . that's the easy bit.

    When it comes down to it, there probably isn't much between the majority of players in the Swans' squad . . . some might have a tad more skill, some a bit more determination . . . whatever. And no player is untradeable.

    The wildcard in all the considerations is the individual player . . . he can always say no, or if he's out of contract, opt to go in the pre-season draft, if he doesn't fancy the trade terms.

    It would be facinating to be a fly on the wall during trade week and see how they go about it. I have this vision of each coach going into the room with a full collection of player swapcards, and holding them out in front, saying "Go ahead, pick a card . . . . any card!"
