It's still a wait and see on pretty much all those guys.

Crouch is great at breaking the lines on occasion, but his delivery is often awry.

I can see Fixter, Bevan and Buchanan potentially becoming inside midfielders, and McVeigh too.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Thompson though plays pretty much where barry hall does and is hopeless elsewhere and i dont see why hall would want to shift around for thompson

ottens however would be an awesome pick up the change of team could be what he needs...

i think he would come at a price perhaps some proven players who richmond think could lift a lot..they would be after some running players too wouldnt they??

oh how much do i agree with that! i love that kid, the pies got dead set dudded with that trade. i remember reading a WCE supporter on bigfooty saying that in his eyes malthouse had made up for how @@@@@ he had left the eagles list with the adkins-williams trade

i really, really, really like the look of him. IMO, he looks a hell of alot like judd, when you cant see the number on adkins back and he is running with the ball, you assume it is judd anyway...

aaarrrrgggghhhh - just wrote a massive post and lost it all!

cant be bothered writing it all again, essentially if we can add some quality to the list via the trade with the likes of maybe shaw and clarke without using very high picks, only then would we want to trade for a KP. even then, i think we should look at utilities, like cam mooney or drew petrie, or even justin koschitzke (pretty sure thats how u spell it! )

rucks that could be targeted -

simmonds or sandilands (freo cant seem to fit them both in the same 22 with J Lo as well)

leigh brown would be another utility worth pursuing

jamar and jolly would be frustrated as hell - both getting next to NO game time all year, both being of quality

can port fit lade, brogan and primus into the one side? if and when primus gets fit...

edit: while ottens goals and possessions seemed to have dried up, purely his work as a ruck is great. he is currently second behind spider with hitouts to advantage. would be a huge addition... otherwise, trade a 3rd rounder for stafford

Simmonds has been played at FF virtually all year - Freo do not have a KP forward, so he has filled that void and done it very well too - couldn't see Freop giving him up, nor Sandilands as it seems every time he is off the field, Freo struggle.

Jamar and Jolly IMHO are nothing special - more useful than Meiklejohn, but not the type I would want as Ball's replacement.

Primus won't go anywhere, Lade is getting on now and only ever plays in bursts (seemingly always against us) and Port would never let Brogan go - with Primus getting near the end of his career, Brogan is their #1 ruckman.

I'm not convinced of Ottens either - he is a class player, but has a history of injuries, and as has already been pointed out, we would have to give up way too much to get him.

Leigh Brown might be an option though - I guess what the Roos choose to do with McKernan would probably determine whether Brown was a possible trade for them as I couldn't imagine them having Porter as their only ruck option.

I'd be interested in someone like Dylan McLaren - only #4 option for the Lions when they have McDonald, Keating and Charman all available, but has shown this year that he can match it with the best.

            I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

Saw Ottens live yesterday - very lazy bugger but he does have talent. Probably not worth going for because of his 'perceived' value.

We need key backmen imho. Schaubs is a week to week proposition.

Jeez I'd kill for a player like Adkins out there today!! How many pacy midfielders who can break the lines and kick long and accurately were on the field for us today!!

Id like to see the swans midfield something like

                    C: Black, Voss, N.Lappin

                    FOLL: RUCKMAN, Judd, Power

Which part of our current midfield will get better? They were beaten today by a younger team.

black HAS to be in the centre, power could play from the wing

why not have gardiner as the ruckman?
