        Half time,

        Swans 9.4.58
        Hawks 3.4.22

Davis has 3 nice goals - looking good and nearly had a 4th from a set shot. Hall has been a little quiet but lots of height around him today.

Jolly's ruckwork and goal have been good and Barry has played a solid, safe game in the back half. Just noticed that Mathews has 10 touches - been busy since he came on.

Not a great half but I'll take the score.

Jolly looks good. I have been impressed with Schneids in the middle too. Williams has been his usual self. B2 is playing well. LRT looks dead set lost (hope he is not on Rocca next week). Hope they bury them in the 2nd half. The banner was brilliant.

Yep, Schneider has been good - harder at the ball than I've seen in the past.

I actually think we will be a better side on big grounds this year. Goodesy is being wasted IMHO.

              3/4 Time.

              Swans 12.8.80
              Hawks 4.6.30

Gonna be a loooong season for the Hawks - if we had have kicked a few we should have got it would be even worse for them.

Jolly continues to impress and ROK played a good quarter.

              Percentage.

Thankyou Melbourne for giving us Jolly.

Also we now have a heap of tall options now.

I know one game doesn't make a season, but from what I have seen, a 1000% improvement on the pre season form.
As I said pre season means very little in terms of the Premiership season (just look at Carlton)

Jolly just stepped past Doyle I think.

Davis was fantastic. Schneider looks like he's trying to be Brent Guerra. Paul Bevan was very good. O'Keefe got better and better throughout the match.

Not perfect, but pleasing. The last two minutes were embarassing, though.

                      Good
                      - Jolly was excellent in the ruck and the 3 goals were a bonus.
                      - Nick Davis was brilliant.
                      - I loved Bevan's hardness at the ball and O'Keefe's marking skills.

                      Bad
-The kick-to-kick between Mathews and Kennelly near the end. The crowd should have booed louder.
                      - Stuffed up a number of chances near goal, the biggest being the Davis to Williams pass.
                      - Hawthorn were absolutely terrible and we should have belted them by a lot more.
                      - Was Doyle injured near the end?

I was listening to MMM over the inetrnet and was wondering why were the Swans playing so defensively last 2 minutes. Their margine was already so big that they shouldn't be playing like that. Even the commentators were very suprised.
