I thought Kennelly and Barry were both very ordinary today.

Except when Leo Barry did that kangaroo hop over a Crows player. I thought that was the funniest thing.

If you go 2004-2005 we are 7th.

If you do 2005, we are 8th.

Who cares where we are on a W-L basis over three years - we struggle to perform regularly in the critical games.

I may repeat some things that have been brought up already, but seeing as there are already 40+ replies, to go back and reply to certain posts inidividually would be too much effort, so please bear with me.

We lost drive from the midfield once Willo went off - could be a very long 6-8 weeks without him - not so much for him getting his hands on the ball, but what he does with it once he has it. Our delivery into our forward line today was atrocious. At least Willo knows how to hit a target on a lead.

Which brings me to more detail on delivery into the forward line. How many marks did we take inside our forward 50 on the lead today? Compare this with Adelaide who did it time and time again. Instead, we bomed it long into our forward line, which was an improvement on last week in that at least we played a more direct brand of footy, but we constantly kicked to contests where we were outnumbered meaning marking was difficult and then we got murdered at ground level.

Hopefully Schaubs will be back soon - he played pretty much a full game in the Ressies today (not that it was any sort of test winning 226 - 15), but Leo had, IMHO, his worst game for a few years today.

The overuse of the handball was there again, and so often it is to a teammate who is facing our defensive end, meaning they have to turn and look up before they can do anything. Most of the time they were flat footed too, meaning it takes an eternity to move the ball on.

Was pleased to see Dempster using his long kicking to effect - hopefully with his run from HB and long kicking we will continue to play more direct football. Was impressed with the amount of ball Davis got his hands on, although his disposal was well below its usual standards today. Jude Bolton was excellent, and that's really about it.

O'Keefe probably earned himself a stay of execution with his 2nd half contribution - nothing brilliant, but at least he got his hands on the footy and did something, compared to the nothing of the first 3 1/2 games.

We will be at best 3-3 before we take on Essendon, but quite possibly 2-4 (although I did notice Cameron Bruce had no stats, so maybe he went down injured early on and might miss - will have to see how that progresses). I'm not expecting a lot in the coming weeks but will be hopeful that I'm proved wrong, because it seems that when I get a little optimistic about our chances, we turn in an insipid, incompetent half or more of football.

              I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

I thought they could have included Davis. Not so sure about Goodes.

Matthews should be the first to go. Bring Willoughby in.

Fosdike will also play next week.

Demster showed how to play from the backline today - kick long.

Goodes shouldn't be on that list for the simple fact he missed that sitter late in the 3rd!

Our best chance against Melbourne is they've had some injuries and reports. Bruce did his AC joint in the first minute. They also lost McDonald and Neitz, while Miller was reported.
