As a Cheer squad member I AM considered an official representative of the club, especially at away matches. Hence I have to bite my tongue when expressing my opinion, which thankfully I'm abysmal at doing, especially when angry frustrated and/or stressed. I bit my tongue last night when the West Oz bogans were giving it to us at the end of the match.

My "official supporter" status is something that doesn't mean Jack Squat at the end of the day Liz. Apart from a darn amount of hard work and unnecessary logistic stress. But you as a normal club member would not get the recriminations against you that I would if I were to publicly demonstrate my feelings by means of a sign or banner. That was the point I was trying to make.

Maybe something a little more light-hearted like "<-- GOALS" might do the trick?

        Ha I like that!

I thought that someone in the cheer squad (and in the noble) could have a sign behind the big sticks staying "Kick It Here" (maybe with an arrow pointing down)

            Re: Colless has to go

It's interesting to compare the lead in of this thread:

Fancy employing a senior coach who has only studied under one coach in his life, never actualy coached any team to a premiership and never coached any team for even a whole season.

These guys are a most lax administration when you compare them to the top footballing administrations.

There is a lot more to running a successful football club than making sure that your corporate sponsors are on board.

Colless has had his time, he needs to hand over the reigns to somebody who actualy has some ideas about how this club might win a flag.
with the thread by Footyhead's alter ego Bloodsports over at Big Footy who started this thread around the same time:

"The responsibility has to lie with the club.
Think about it. Why would a club like the Swans let themselves hire a guy like Roos who did not have any credentials at coaching at junior levels or having a decent apprenticship under at least 2 really good coaches (the industry standard for AFL coaching).
Why do they as a club think they have to "sneak" a premiership? What is missing at this club that will not allow them to do the hard work of rebuilding and putting their faith in good old fashioned hard direct football?

I think it has something to do with being the one club flying the AFL flag in the very important anti AFL city of Sydney.

Big problems that the AFL must fix if the code is to continue the expansion into Sydney.

I reckon the best thing would be to develop a second team up there."

            and confessed this evening:

            "Just call me Daarth Vadar.

I went over to the dark side after so many years of being tortured by Swans stupidity.

I actualy go for AFL in Sydney, cos it is still the greatest football game in the world !!

But your right, I do hate the Swans !!!"

            And said earlier (over there):

"They really are a crap club arn't they !!??
Even when they make the top 4 they look like pretenders. Terrible club to be in such a powerful ambassadorial position for the greatest game in the world."

Bear that in mind when you reply with any degree of sincerity to any of Footyhead's postings. He's a troll.
