LOL. Settle down tiger. The player who can lay the best claim to the "long road" story happens to be our Captain for the last two weeks, and still favourite for the job permanently.

Oh and there are some other notable low draftees: Simon Black, Adam Goodes and JAMES HIRD. All Brownlow medalists, none of them better then 30th. He's 21 yet you make it sound like he's 28. He has another 5yrs before he's out of time. 195cm KPP players dont grow on trees.

        Vogels > LRT.

Barry, How you can give up on Vogels after 2 games, give the guy a break. It is a rare player who steps str8 into AFL and makes an impact.

I got the feeling reading barry's post that his Vogel sentiments might have been clouded by people saying Vogels is better than LRT.
I like both of them.Vogels looks a good option in the forwards and LRT is improving as a backman.

Was shocked to see that McVeigh had only registered one clanger, everything he did was awful. I do agree that he tried too hard though.

Vogels wasnt taken before Simon Blakce, Adam Goodes or James Hird. He simply wasnt taken.

Maybe I'm not familiar with those genetic lines.

I cant beleive people are jumping on the Vogels bandwagon based on two games where he spent more time on the pine than off it.

Plus three years in the TAC Cup (Geelong) and Country VFL. Best and Fairest in the Hampden League. One of the most valuable players in the Terang side that won their premiership. Here is some more info for you

LRT = very gifted schoolboy rugby player.

Now who has the more unrealistic expectations?

I like Vogel's presence of mind - the side step and delivery was excellent on the weekend - no panic, just sized up the situation and delivered. There is no chance LRT would ever manage to do that now or in the near future.

The comparisons make me think of comparing Leppitsch with Prestigiacomo - the latter is a very good defender but can't do much else and the former is more likely to be a key player in a premiership team, with good skills and ability to take different roles.

Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I am as excited about Vogels now as I was after LRT's first couple of games. Hopefully he will progress more rapidly and get offered the same opportunities as Golden Boy.

Vogels = Leppitsch after 2 hours of game time. Has the world gone mad?

The same people pumping vogels tyres were pumping LRT's tyres a year ago. Oh how fast they turn.

FWIW, I like to compare LRT to Mal Michael.
