None of which has been answered. All we have had is general rhetoric about how he appears classy and you can either see it or you cant !

I personally think Davis adds alot to our forward line (is classy) especially as very few teams have 3 class defenders (Hall, MOL, Davis) and even if they do ROK would have a field day on the fourth.

Incidently DR J has a penchant for rough, tough nuts in the mould of say Errrrrrrrr Dale Lewis !!!!
I've completely lost Dr J's point by now which seems to change each time he posts but my point is he is more likely to be a class act like MOL than virtually anyone else on our list. Is he there now? No way. Is he a better chance of getting there than Matthews or Ablett? I'd say yes, but we'll never know if we drop him or trade him.

Dont claim to know the inner workings of the DR J mind, but the above appears to make his point perfectly !

Is he currently a class act ala MOL ? NO, does he have potential to be ? YES

He was merely asking those comparing him to MOL to "put up or shut up" which nobody has !

And i dont think anyone including DR J suggested he be dropped or traded, so why mention it ?

We're all agreed then - Davis has potential to be a very good player and shouldnt be dropped or traded. Can't see what all the fuss is about really.

I noticed that too - was impressed with him. He'd be standing in the goal square not moving when Freo had the ball and as soon as we won it, even if it was 100 metres away, he'd be off. A couple of times I glanced up the ground to see what was happening and when I looked back Nick was leading 20 or 30 metres away from where he was last seen.

He works a lot harder than I ever gave him credit for.

NO! You are only a class act when you reach your potential.

You of course forgot to mention the other component of the established definition

A marked innate ability, as for artistic accomplishment.

Just potential - and even that is over-rated. Mark Powell has 'potential

                            People question Nicks commitment.

Does everyone on here believe everything written in the papers? Do we even know when what's put in text is tongue in cheek or a stated fact? Do we really think Nick has had a fair trot over the past couple of years (injury wise)?

Everyone has been willing to give Magic the benefit of the doubt even though he hasn't had great years. His potential was MUCH more than he's shown, but has been held back in his prime due to injury. Nick has had injuries hamper his performances much earlier in his career than Magic did.Does that mean he wont be as good or better as Magic as he ages?

Nick IS a super star and in a couple of years when he reaches Magic's age I'll be happy to be corrected if this does not happen. We really are comparing oranges and lemons here. Both are talented and gifted players. But both have had different passages along their careers to get them to where they are today.

Nick has shown this year his commitment to chasing defenders down and if his receiving the number 1 in the 1% award thingo last week isn't evidence of this, then I don't know what else he needs to do to make people open their eyes and take note.

Give the kid a break. When he wins a game for us, whether it's by kicking 5 or only kicking the final goal to seal the victory he is part of a team. Each there for a reason and each brings their on dynamic.
Here's my heart and you can break it
I need some release, release, release

But I guess ROK's point is that Reggi's comments on Nick don't exactly back that up, regardless of his signature.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
