Yes, you are right! Roos should drop LRT NOW! And put in that CHB you are talking about for the game against West Coast. Why has Roos not played that CHB you are talking about yet and keep sticking with LRT???

All I am saying is that he is NOT our best option in that position, and even if I am wrong we should still be rotating a couple of other players with potential through that position.
Having said that, I am happy enough if we keep winning with our current structure, but shake it up a little next year. But current displays by LRT IMO demand that we keep this plan in mind as we head into next year.

If LRT was getting beaten week in week out then fair enough. But he's not.
I'm sure if we were able to recruit a gun CHB in the offseason, LRT would be shown the door quick smart. But IMO, we still have far bigger holes in
a) Midfield
b) Full back

I suspect he may go on for 1 more year, in which case we have no problem. Earl Shaw has come on very quickly in the two's and if he puts in over pre-season I think he'd certainly be ready for season 2007 (and at least a debut in 2006).

Yes.

How is it reflected in games played?

LRT has played every game this year hasnt he.
Vogels about 5 of which a fair % of the time he was warming the bench.
Hence, the selectors see LRT as the more better AFL footballer

LRT is a 4th year player - Vogels is a 1st year player.

While I'm not willing to compare LRT and Vogels (different ages, body shapes and I've never really seen them play the same position).
I think anyone who'se coached kids from a non football background would accept this is a valid point when considering the speed of LRT's development. Indeed the loss of a NSW team from the TAC competition is only going to further impede the developement of NSW kids, the next sydneysider we draft could well be coming from much further back.

I watched the last quarter again last night, and if there has been a better display by a CHB in one quarter this year than LRT's I'd be suprised.
It was the consumate performance, and a glimpse of what the future holds.
I dont recall his opponent getting a touch, yet LRT did his usual great spoiling, an awesome goal saving tackle, two instances of scoping up the loose ball in a 50/50 contest and dishing off a handball to create a player clear. Then his runs out of the backline one with a pin point pass to Ball on the wing. Clanger free, a wall across half back.
Anyone who wasnt impressed with that quarter is biased against him. Pure and simple.
