p1ss weak justification. there's going to be very few tickets anyway. to suggest that Melbourne fans should get a bigger number per capita is divisive to say the least.

Actually, what's most divisive is splitting the allocation in the first place. As soon as you do that, you're headed for problems. I can't see that the system favours Melbourne supporters at all - any advantage we gain out of their being fewer of us would quite easily be evened out by the thousands of Sydney people that will be in Melbourne for the prelim.

I'll just note, that if this turns into a Melb vs Syd thread, I didn't start it.

Someone on Saintsational mentioned that for the GF they would ALL be phone bookings. Then it's pretty much luck to whether or not you get in fast enough.

How else would non-Sydney based members get tickets? Can only be done between by members phoning Ticketmaster between 1pm and 5pm Sunday and quoting bar code number.

Where you are makes no difference, the tickets will be allocated according to a split between Syndey & Melbounre members and then those members will be queing for that allocation of tickets.

As I can't remember the full sample letter I think that Swans Sydney members will have to organise someone to buy tickets for them as they will not be able to purchase tickets in Melbourne, but I could be wrong.

But either way they will still be buying from the Sydney based allocation.

No crusier, that is for members in other states outside of Victoria who have purchased a Sydney based membership.

Melbourne, due to the numbers of members have their own allocation based on the split between Sydney & Melbourne and their own ticket purchase point.

Each club can sell their allocation differently, so the Saints may be going down that path (remember Port last year had sold theirs the first week of the finals).

St Kilda already have their tickets. Spoke to a lady before the game on Friday night. She already had hers and said they would play us on Friday.

If we had won straight through to Prelim we would have ours too.
                        Love those Swans

In 2003 (against Brisbane) apparently at the MCG the first person in the queue was a Swans supporter. Once we had lost he packed up and left and there was a huge queue behind him.
WHO WAS THIS PERSON and is he willing to be paid for being in the queue for me.

What time are people planning on lining up at the SCG? I'm debating whether I should watch the game at the Social Club or take my little tele (and my chances) and line up DURING the game

Where does it say we queue at SCG. My understanding from reading sample letter on Swans site is that you queue at MCG or purchase on phone from ticketmaster. Those with GF guarantee will be posted a 12 digit barcode that is needed to purchase ticket. This will occur from 8Am Sunday. I was refferred to this letter via an email from club.
