Actually, what's most divisive is splitting the allocation in the first place. As soon as you do that, you're headed for problems. I can't see that the system favours Melbourne supporters at all - any advantage we gain out of their being fewer of us would quite easily be evened out by the thousands of Sydney people that will be in Melbourne for the prelim.
I'll just note, that if this turns into a Melb vs Syd thread, I didn't start it.We hate Anthony Rocca

Someone on Saintsational mentioned that for the GF they would ALL be phone bookings. Then it's pretty much luck to whether or not you get in fast enough.Comment

As I can't remember the full sample letter I think that Swans Sydney members will have to organise someone to buy tickets for them as they will not be able to purchase tickets in Melbourne, but I could be wrong.
But either way they will still be buying from the Sydney based allocation.

Melbourne, due to the numbers of members have their own allocation based on the split between Sydney & Melbourne and their own ticket purchase point.

In 2003 (against Brisbane) apparently at the MCG the first person in the queue was a Swans supporter. Once we had lost he packed up and left and there was a huge queue behind him.
WHO WAS THIS PERSON and is he willing to be paid for being in the queue for me.Comment

Where does it say we queue at SCG. My understanding from reading sample letter on Swans site is that you queue at MCG or purchase on phone from ticketmaster. Those with GF guarantee will be posted a 12 digit barcode that is needed to purchase ticket. This will occur from 8Am Sunday. I was refferred to this letter via an email from club.SYDNEY SWANS.....THE GREATEST FOOTBALL CLUB IN LIVING MEMORY.Comment
