Well, I still haven't seen an answer to my Dept of Fair Trading question.
But never mind, I don't expect straight answers any more, deflections/avoidance are more the norm.
I'm only interested because I think the walk off was a poor move. And when I said so, I was told it was a last resort and that all avenues had been exhausted.
Well, I don't believe that. At all. Clearly all avenues weren't exhausted.
And from discussions this morning, even the walk off itself was not organized and planned anywhere near as well as it could have been.
Of course when I explained that, I got the usual response completely ignoring my points and going into the obligatory courageous/emotional routine....
But, that aside -
Some here are so invested in the cause that they seem desperate for validation and expect others to blindly follow suit.
(FWIW, I actually happen to believe their cause is justified, I just don't agree with the tactics (ie the walk off) and I believe it didn't have to come to this.)
In my case, because I have no personal interest in Balmain, I can be more dispassionate, and objective, than those whose opinions are clouded by the emotion of it all.
Which means I am happy to ask questions which I think are relevant, even if they seem to go against the grain.
Despite the emotion of all this, you still need that aspect to the discussion.
