I wonder what happens to the Balmain Dockers Women's Div 1 team? They are 2-time defending premiers and are just about to launch into another finals campaign.

Hearing tonight for the players. There has not been much talk on here in regards to punishments. What are people's thoughts on sentencing?

Hi Optus. We are hoping for leniency due to the circumstances around the actions which have been given to the AFL.

The group also have received statements from former presidents, life members, and have also been supported in their actions with two of the junior clubs that feed to Balmain. I think that in itself sums up the lack of support for the current administration, the damage caused, but highlights that relationships can be fixed with these clubs with a new group of board members.

But we really have no idea how it will go.

I think missing the game last week was adequate punishment for the Balmain 11 ... just needed to crack the whip that players need to follow the rules/by-laws of the comp & communicate their concerns in more appropriate & timely manner. I am concerned that there might be repercussions though for the one player who is also an employee of the NSWAFL but that it just my gut feel & not based on any fact.

Thanks Mr Taxman, we hope this is the case. Having all 11 eligible for selection this weekend against UTS would be great. From what I have heard the player in question is being seen separately to the other 10.

Surely they must be adjudicated and sentenced all the same. If the league wants to take umbridge with an employee that has nothing to do with the football judiciary. An added hearing, yes, but not a separate one.

3 weeks for each. Fair result from AFL I believe.

We got suspended till the end of 2014 but they have suspended next years sentence. The group will hopefully only serve 3 weeks

sounds fair... and the point was made and football community is aware.. win win for everyone, afl had to make a stand as well and you guys made one which whilst extreme has made syd afl aware of goings on...
