Anyhow gr8 to have you aboard thankgod for the Roys and their son Roos.
The year the Loins "merged" with the Bears was the year I relocated from Melbourne to Sydney. I started going to the Swans games with a few ex-pat Melbournians and decided I should support my local team rather than follow another team that I'd hardly ever see live. At least after last year I've finally got a premiership to "my" name - if I'd stayed with the Lions I would've had 3 in a row!

Cant believe you just said that....
Some people say Football is a matter of life and death - I say it's a lot more important than that!

I tend to throw my cap or other soft things at the TV if we are playing crap, but for some reason I still have to watch it to the end.

It is about one rule: To be "true", once you get on the bandwagon (whether by tradition, Capper, Lockett or the Premiership), you never fall off. You might not post on RWO and you might only watch the first half of the game on the telly before you start reading a book but as long as you don't jump to the latest hot thing (see: World Cup futbol, West Coast Eagles) instead of the Swans then you're alright.
That is a pretty fair call SC.
Even when I'm in Germany during the World Cup I'll try & be on RWO every day to see what is happening. Might see if I can see match highlights via torrent or something (Does anyone know if footy is on DSF or something?)

I still love the team but I want to see a better effort and the first 2 games they have not put in any at all
You wouldn't be the infamous Barney from Ozhoops by chance, would you?
As depressing as Sunday was, I think we are learning to adapt with what it is like to be reigning premiers. Just like the situation with Port last year, it is in many respects completely uncharted waters for not only the club as a whole but the individual players who need to somehow climb the proverbial Mount Everest again.
When you have waited so long for Premiership success maybe the fire in the belly is not what it was when you have to do it again.
I hope that we turn things around, but I fear that everyone now expects things to just improve June etc etc. As far as I'm concerned they will only improve by June if we
A) get properly fit & match-hardened
B) remain injury free
C) get over the premiership 'hangover' effect
D) Stop making basic skill errors, resulting in costly turnovers
E) Get some height back into our defence
F) Get Tagdh back
H) Adapt to the new laws a lot better, taking quicker kick-outs
We have two supposedly lowly teams over the next 2 weeks. I expect 2 wins & will be greatly greatly disappointed if we do not get them.

I'm being facetious because I'm struggling to get a reason as to why leaving before the final siren hurts the club. People keep saying it shouldn't be done but not why.
Interestingly, I think that it actually hurts more watching the team play crap on TV. Every mistake is magnified (& often replayed).
I find it far worse to watch on TV than see live.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Yes, its essential that we win the next two. And then the game against Geelong at Telstra Stadium will hopefully be a ripper played in front of 60,000.

I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.
