If anyone in that coaching department thinks Mclean is a Ruck of any sort they must be watching a different game to me. Half the reason Im not fussed if he gets traded, not because he isn't a good fwd but because those coaches think he is a ruck.

Will be a frustrating year if we handicap ourselves each week at selection.

We went 8 and 3 in the last 11 games when our list was healthier. Cox not the problem.

Hoping thats the case, I feel he has more at his disposal then what he was using.

We got smashed twice in the last month by decent teams in Cats and Giants who both had an intercept defender who killed it when we played small..... Lead in both those games until the opposition coaches found us out.

Mclean to ruck to make the fwd line small

That last paragraph is like a scouting report for a coach playing against us not for us
I think you will find Roadrunner was totally correct in what he said. When it became apparent that Logan was going to be a late starter due to a lack of a preseason, Cox was well aware that he would miss the early part of the season and this was entirely the reason for trying McCartin up forward. It was hoped that Logan would be ready 3 to 4 weeks into the season, and in fact he did play an early VFL game at the start of the season and pulled up lame.

          He made some @@@@e decisions;

          1. McCartin as a forward
          2. Blakey as a Key Back
          3. The long bomb forward when we had no tall forwards. I am looking at the game and thinking what @@@@ is he doing.
          4. Not bringing more rotations to the mids. There were far too few players rotating there until the last part of the season
          5. Inability to turn a match from the Coaches Box
          6. Hamling as a Forward. Give me a break. When he finally went back he was good. Really good. I was thinking he would be delisted with Francis but after the last 5 games before his injury, I didn't think so anymore. He's the player to take the third tall. He has the best record in games this season as a back out of them all. Apparently, he let through less goals than any other back.
          7. Pretending Aaron Francis could actually play. He is a confidence player and he never got going

I gave Cox a Pass. He needs to improve a lot to get a Distinction. High Distinctions are reserved for Premiership Coaches. Cox was coaching under a lot of duress. Firstly, the handover was not the best I've seen. The new pre-season is upon us and Longmire after 1 month hands the reins over. Far too late. Our injury list must have made him angrier than a snake who has just been disturbed from a nice nap. Very unhelpful to him. lots of negatives. He needs to build his own team of coaches. My man Reeves will not be one as he just signed an extra two years at Glenelg, now until 2028. We need a strategies v\coach and a proper Forwards Coach. Other sides don't go into seasons with a Back or Mid as Forwards Coach. What would they @@@@ing know about forward strategy?

Brissy have 19 and 20yr old Fwds and here we are talking about whether we have enough

If that doesn't tell you our coaches need to have a look at themselves than nothing will

Brissy 8 players under 22 in a do or die final, we had 1 Sheldrick in our last game

The difference between Longmire and Fagan,Scott and Co...
JLo played favourites, the other 2 pick winning sides

But he was signed as a small defender and I don't really recall him doing a decent shut down job on any small forwards.

Those delistings mean that we've taken two off the main list and four off the rookie list. Which means someone else has to go from the main list. Could mean demoting a veteran to the rookie list. Can we demote Adams, even if he has a year to go on his contract? Or it could mean trading away a player or two? Or it could mean delisting someone who doesn't really deserve to be delisted?
We can put Adams on the rookie List, like we did with Tippett, except Adams might play.

I think Hamling was really good up until he got injured. He is a back not a forward. He played back and was our most mean back. He also killed the b all better than any of the other two.

Walter is a rewal Tilthorpe type. He's a big boy. 201cm, 100 kilos. All we have to do is teach him how to mark the ball. He dropped more catches than the English cricket team in the Ponting Era

Money isn't the main issue, id say it's more opportunity, he isnt going to stick around as the backup. At least at the Pies he has age on his side with more guys closer to the end

Like Ladhams, he would be a real visionary to see how he fits in that team with a healthy Logan and Amartey
The rumour is we are interested in Mihocek. why we would want a 33 yo, he is 33 in Feb, I have no idea. I think it would be a terrible list decision. This guy barely makes it. He is a solid player, no more. He is old. He would have possibly 1 season. I hope the rumours are fake.

We need to p8ss off Lloyd, Ramps, Adams etc

Brissy have 8 players under 22 and we are looking for guys like Mihocek

2 FFs 19 and 20, none of them starred in VFL, none were 1st round picks. Our Green must be shaking his head, 1st round pick, nowhere near it

Cox refused to play Buller all season and when he did the kid was good. He played him too late in my opinion. We had no forwards and he was putting Hamling and Francis to play Laurel and Hardy in the forward line.

I agree, he may not have had his 1st choice available but he did have guys available, Ladhams the prime example, talk about a waste in the 2s.

Brissy just play Oscar and Fort and yet we couldnt play Ladhams and Grundy

Hamling as a tagging FF after the 1 good game on Taylor was hands down the dumbest sh8t I've seen on a football field
