Not surprised Curnow's options has now been narrowed to us. Is his heart really in it to play for us? Think it will require a 3 way trade with us departing with our first round picks and another club offloading a star speedy midfielder to Carlton. News that Carlton is now out of the race for Flanders makes that increasingly diifficult. I don't think Rowbottom is in the mix, as i reckon too much has been made of uncle BT's comment. The ball is in Charlie's court with his manager if they want to make this happen.

Think Curnow will remain at Carlton due to the increasing complexity, but hope it doesn't drag out all through the trade period as we have other targets/needs to focus on.

Oliver is not a good kick. Same with Trac. They like a long bomb but could hit a player on the chest with a pass if having a free pass from the firing Squad depended on it.

We will get Rosas. I know most here are bullish on Curnow but to give them two players, against the players wishes, is @@@@e. I'm damned certain Wilbur does not want to go to Blues. Whoever the other one cis, he doesn't want to go there either. I think the two players should tell the club to eff off and put themselves up for trade. If we have to pay a 1st, a Future First and two players, then that is too much. He isn't worth that and he doesn't really want to come to us anyway. So, think Rocca. same @@@@e, selfish, played crap for us and this guy will be the same. A totally expensive waste of space who will get to the Cats after two failed seasons at the Swans. Because that's what he wants and Blues will insist we take his contract. Bad idea.

I would like to have both players if possible. However, Carlton may want a player and they are right to ask for one in a trade.

Regardless, Carlton needs a future first-round pick more than a pick in this year's draft due to proposed changes to father-son recruitment and their having such a player on their recruitment radar next year. The compensation first-round pick they will get for losing TDK is likely to be traded into next year's draft for that reason.

Sydney's needs will need to be considered as well. Sydney needs picks to match Academy bids this year and may need a pick to acquire Rosas from the Suns.

      So a possible trade:
Sydney gives up a player and a future first-round pick
Carlton gives up Curnow and a third-round pick (currently 48).

Pick 48 can then be offered to the Suns for Rosas.

Perhaps he is not good enough. Cannot question his effort, but lacks height to be an effective ruckman. His contested marking is questionable when opponents use body on him

I think you are close to the mark, but in my opinion this years first round draft pick and a player will do it for Curnow. Highly unlikely that the academy kids will be in the top 20 of the draft so we should have at least two of them covered with the likelihood the others will fall through to a late pick or rookie pick
