Maybe someone should explain to them that a game consists of 4 quarters and the idea is to kick the ball between the two big sticks!

Oh dear. I'm a glass half full person, but I'm struggling to find a single positive from that half. We don't even get a better draft pick from losing...

Only 11 points in it now. Swans have kick 5 of the last 6 goals

Maybe so, but depends on how they play it. Sometimes kicking with a breeze can lead to a false sense of ability

Now only 5 points in it

Paton probably spent plenty of time playing for Sandringham, during his time with St Kilda. So I'm just wondering, if he could be left at the ground, chained to a full keg of beer, with a note for the Sandringham management, saying that if you take him back, then the beer is yours. The way he turns the ball over coming out of defence, just does my head in.

I'm glad it wasn't just me that thought Paton had a shocker.

Sums up my view of his value. Think it might have been the game Mills played in reserves where his literally didn’t hit a single kick on the move. Just appalling.

And I really don't know why they let him take kick ins? I only saw around the last third of today's game, but twice he turned Sandringham points into Sandringham goals, by turning it over straight from the kick in.

Despite yet another awful performance by the team, I thought there were a few individual performances that were encouraging. Florent didn’t hit all his targets but I thought he played with energy and intent. Snell’s intercepting was impressive. And in the final term, Andrew showed some dash and skill.

I also thought Bowman had several good moments. I don’t know if he’s grown or I just didn’t realise his height, but I wonder if they see the possibility of him becoming a Dawson type player. A long way to go but some encouraging signs.

Today was the first time I’ve heard the commentators refer to Matty Lloyd’s bloodlines… no, “we” weren’t all aware because you and your brethren have never mentioned it before.

I thought Bowman looked great running off half back. Best game he’s played.
