Official change (Davis still not selected)

is NO CHANGE. According to Christi Malthouse on ten news the team is unchanged, and in her words Davis is set to spend a 6th successive week on the sidelines. I guess now he could be getting to the stage where he's out of finals calculations. You need to be hardened with seniors exposure if you want to make an impact in the firsts in finals where the pressure goes up a notch.

      this is so stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nick davis is a perfect inclusion a few weeks out from finals ESPECIALLY against Geelong!

i'm so sick of the mind games .... seriously what else does he have to do ?!?!?!

they're unlikely to put him stright in for finals so will he play again this year??? maybe we need someone like dempster or bevan to be injured (how can u say dempster & bevan are in the swans top 22 ahead of davis?)

      aaaaaaaarrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
      SAVE NICK!

They put Bevan straight into the team during the finals last year, so why not?

Well I heard Roos interviewed on Sunday and he said, or words to the effect, that it's now a matter of whether Davis is good enough for the best 22, though he was in little doubt that Crouch was. Thing that amazes me is that several players seem to get away with games less than what Davis consistently produced on a regular basis. Maybe expectations are variable.

yeah but it's nick davis. it seems that you cannot apply any rules or theorys to the games roos is playing. don't get me wrong i thought he was a fantastic coach up until 6 weeks ago and he totally stuffed up his handling of the davis incident and the games he is playing now are utterly ridiculous and stupid. how can they say he isn't good enough to get into the team!!! its absurd ....

Bevan played only a bit role in the GF though, he was rotated sparingly from the bench and was not essential to the team's success.

No change? So Nick is an emergency then?

Unfortunately Roos will not admit he is wrong and being ridiculous until we lose and by then the damage has been done. The team needs Nick Davis and has only managed to win the last few games without him as it was weak opposition.

                        What a joke.

We now know form and fitness has nothing to do with it.

If it was Ben Mathews or Jared Crouch I can guarantee they would be rushed back into the side.

Obviously there is more to this than is being given to us. We cant just jump to the throat of Roos the moment he makes a decision we dont agree with. he isnt going to be right on everything, but we dont know the full story to give opinions on the matter. Get over it, we dont need Davis to win the Premiership again. It would be nice, but it is not a whole that cant be filled
Our forward line was even more dysfunctional with him in there..
                          - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

Reserves play Saturday this week. Will be interesting to see if Davis flies south. I really do not understand what breaking his spirit will achieve - wonder what chapter of Roos' book that bit is in?
