    SYYYYYYYYDDDDDDDNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYY chant

I'm not usually one for organising the mood of the crowd but this is perhaps a simple enough idea to work, and I reckon it would be bloody good if it did.

I think that the Syyyyddddnnnneeeeyyyy chant would sounf super if it got started just before the end of the the final break, especially if things were close. Just for a minute or three. It is a great time to do it because most people should be back in their seats and the football is not moving around, causing a distraction. I also think that a huge crowd in that statdium would sound fantastic a send a chill down many a spine.

From what I understand most of RWO is attending, and attending groups large enough to get chants going. If everyone started in their small groups around the place at about the same time it should spread through the crowd pretty quickly and I think would be a tops way to start the final qtr.

    Whadayouse think?

I reckon have it start as soon as the anthem finishes in that minute or so before the first bounce - make it known that there's a stadium full of people there supporting the Swans.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

The key to the long chant is to find the resonant frequency of the stadium and get the crowd in time.

The first time I heard it at the SCG it took a while to get started and was really haunting as it rung around the ground with different sections rising (SYYYYYYDDDD) and falling (NNNNEEEEEYYYYY) at different times.

Now everyone knows it so it starts up quickly and the O'Reilly, Brewongle and Noble stands try to do it completely synchronised which doesn't work so well.

Telstra should work well with a full crowd if we can get it going. Perhaps it should start relatively quietly so it grows slowly from a single point in the stadium.

I like both the idea of just before play begins in both the 1st and 4th quarters.

If you saw last nights game, the Freo crowd were really really really loud. Sounded like a soccer game.

I agree Lobster, get the Syyyddnneeyyy chant going.

I'm going to try and smuggle a megaphone into the game. I'll also try and NOT go on the banner so that i can try and get something started when the crowd are pumped.

My rotten cow of a Carlton supporting brother is dog/house sitting in Sydney and has got tickets. What a waste of a seat.

Yeah, how good were the Dockers supporters last night. If we could sound like that it would be awesome!

Who needs a megaphone? Light cardboard rolled into a cone could do as well and give the security simians less excuse to evict you.
