Cant wait to get to Telstra and cheer loudly all decked out in Swans gear. Very nervous though - but ready to yell and scream my support.
      Love those Swans

JF i think you should get over it and remember our roots South Melbourne. They were in melbourne for about 100 years before they got shafted and sent up to sydney, and when they did nobody wanted them up there. We should have al least 50000 members be we haven't because the people of sydney still dont embrace it totaly(IMO)Add to the fact that a lot of the old SMFC supporters are still scared by the move from the Lakeside oval to the SCG( I am still)but i love the SWANS. I got over it,but i just can't bring myself to call them the Sydney Swans, which doesn't mean that i dont love the footy club.

That's exactly why the opposition teams laugh at us.
This is sporting war ... not a picnic at Parsley Bay!!
If more of us at R&WOL just screamed that little bit harder on Friday night, we *might* be able to get the chardies going.
Jesus H Christ ... I just realised (remembered) ... I'm in TS Member seating!! God help them all.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Maybe we can have like economy & business class seats? Or seats for corporates only where they can chat about work & 'bond' with fellow employees without being disturbed by disgraceful people with drums megaphone giant flags and general vociferousness.

Why not organise various "loud bays" around the ground? Ie have the bay where Peter sits as the loud bay in the Brewongle concourse. Have say Bay 7 in the O'Reilly concourse & a bay upstairs in the O'Reilly as our bay for noisy people over the other side?

Then the old fossils who live up there in complete silence can watch the game undisturbed. And those of us who DO want to lift the atmosphere to something more like it was in 1997 have the facility to do so.

Maybe the club can include in their next on-line survey the question "how loud do you like to yell at the game?", and "how many roe eggs do you eat per game" and then seat everyone accordingly!!
I'll wo(man) the loud bay in the upper Brewongle (well, I'll continue doing it).

pfft. I havent EVER seen anyone eating caviar and drinking chardonnay at a Swans game in Sydney.

yeah, me neither. Only pie eating folk so far, not a single "celebrity" in sight.

If the Swans didn't move up to Sydney, then I would not have a footy club too. I'd have more than likely been still going to boring rugby union matches with my mum & dad, having never learnt about Aussie Rules at all. These days there are Sydneysiders who live as breathe this club as much as you guys do & have done all these years.

This club is my club too mate. And I have been there over the dark years fighting with pretty much all of the energy I have had to keep this baby alive. It hasn't been easy, but our success last year made it worth the wait.

The slow Sydney chant is amazing when it gets going. I reckon starting it before the bounce is a great idea - I'll be doing my best, and will force my friend to be just as loud It got going towards the end of the Geelong SF and look how that turned out!

JF the megaphone idea sounds great. We're sitting a few bays closer to the CS this game so I'll be taking my lead from you guys.
