And the man who started it, the Schneiderman, can kick his third for the quarter. And the swans are in the Grand Final!

We have too many passengers. Our best 22 would be that side today with the following changes
OUT (for ever): Benny, McV, Bevan and J Bolton.
IN: Coruch (if fit), Hall (if fit), Kennelly (if fit), Brabazon/Schneider
Maybe Dumpster should go. He was ordinary today.
Roos seems bereft of ideas. We are an ordinary side.Comment

I don't think Roos knows the meaning of 'caution' or 'wind'!
Or 'throw' for that matter!Last edited by NMWBloods; 30 June 2007, 05:19 PM.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Losing Hall is a big change to the team dynamic, even if he has been playing poorly. We struggled to kick goals in the first half whilst adjusting to no Hall as well as playing in some pretty awful conditions; Geelong were very impressive in being able to put up the score that they had to half time, they played with the conditions very well I thought. I'm not completely dismayed by it all.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

edit: I can only think of one player to drop, and that HAS to be MCVEIGH!Comment

goodes and kirk are invaluable for us because they are the only players we have who will go and get the ball inside. goodes thinks he is better than he is and accordingly lairises from time to time. But without him we have no-one who will actually get the ball.
the real problem is that bolton and mcveigh - our two very high draft picks cannot consistently hit a target and neither have clean hands. ben matthews is like a number of our other players - dempster being another and bevan being another - none of whom can actually get the ball and need to be led to it every timeComment

Schmidt and Laidlaw must stay in this side. Both are quality. If Roos drops either in preference to Matthews or guys like Crouch or even Fosdike it demonstrates a nihilistic attitude to the future of the club beyond this year.
I think McVeigh should be traded at the end of the year. I think Bevo has some admirable qualitites and will improve. Malceski is not Kennelly. He works better as a midfielder because he has a better kick than Kennelly, but is much less evasive running out of the backline.
We lost, but at least we had a 'crack' today. He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.Comment
