    - Very happy with the first half so far.
    - Melbourne are very very bad.
    - Umpires
    - Had my doubts over Bevan on Davey but he's done well. Hope he keeps it up.

      Another good quarter.

Very good games by Schneider, Goodes, Buchanan, Everitt and Bevan.

Good from Kirk, Jolly, C Bolton, and Malceski.

Nice to see the midfielders kicking a few goals. Bevan has definitely moved up a notch, while Tadhg seems a little ginger at times. Like Everitt's work and Goodes, Schneider, Jolly and B's 1 and 2. Real lack of intensity from Melbourne, however.

Must be deja vu for Buchanan. The pressure and oppostion skills in this game wouldn't be that different to what he experienced on his last trip down the highway.

Lots of Swans doing good stuff but only so much you can take from it. And our boys are making hard work of their forward 50 entries at times. Should be another half dozen goals up by now.

Have liked Schneider's game a lot, regardless of opposition. He seems to be getting really comfortable with his pace, knowing exactly when to put the burners on and when he can afford to cruise. Some great work from Monty too, both running down the ground and in the clinches.

Some new boots needed for the second half though. Lots of players slipping over.

A spell in the 2's appears to have done Monty and Schneider a world of good. Who else needs to lift their game to top level before the finals? O'Keefe?

19-8 frees against us now. You just can't do that on Davey.
                19-9 frees.

                This cricket pitch is shocking.

Davey kicks a goal shortly after the start of the 3rd quarter.

                  Sydney 10.5 65
                  Melbourne 4.4 28

Kirk looks like he's in real trouble.

Trademark rebound play and great goal to Monty. Very poor decision making by Neitz and the hapless Dees.

Neitz goals after some stupidity by "Mr. Reliable" Paul Bevan.

                        Sydney 11.7 73
                        Melbourne 5.4 34

Bevan deserves a punch in the head from a team mate for giving away that 50m penalty.

                              Go NOG.

Well that Neitz free kick was no different to the one Pebbles should have been given down the other end two minutes earlier. Idiot umpires.

26-12 free kick count now. (I reckon by the end of the match it'll have hit 50).

ETA: The other match has started and it's not helping us out

But a pat on the back for the rest of his performance. He's been very good, if he is the only one who has had a go on Davey then he has kept him very quiet.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
