My confidence in our win tonight has completely disappeared. At the beginning of this week my confidence was higher (because of a good win over the Hawks), but this morning I'm feeling almost sick of worries, that tonight's game might be the last one this season.

Its going to be super tight but not having Irish is going to hurt us.... I think we can sneak it though but knowing the way Roos does it he will try and play the same way we have the other two times against them for at least the 1st half and we will be pushing uphill to get home all night. Surely though the prize on offer is big enough to get the boys up- a final at Subi against a very wounded WCE who are as close to being ripe for the picking as they ever will.

      Cmon you swans!

I'd prefer to ignore the toothless nobody but if I did chant anything it would be:

Shove that jacket up your **rse , doodah, doodah, back to gaol you toothless farce, oh doodah day.

Tonight's winner will beat the wee girls next week. It would be great to do that.

I hope the Swan's don't get too Hall conscious tonight. We should play him on Rocca that would confuse them.

If they started now (6.30ish saty) the swannies may have a chance, but if the wobbles make it onto the ground at the same time, then the boys would have had to start about 5pm -- this, of course, based on their disgracefully pathetic efforts against the philth so far this year. I'm just wondering at what point Tossa will be donning his Alfoil 'game over' jacket. That said, I'm hopeful of a swannies turn around and another crack (no pun intended) at the druggies next week at Subie. No Cousins, no Kerr and with Judd's groin being iced up, we should have a chance...to make it to the prelim, at least.
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

I still think we could beat them but maybe a different way.

we blew a MASSIVE chane at playing a prelim final because i reckon if we played like we did vs the hawks against the eagles with their stars out we could belt them as well (how sweet that would be in front of their feral faithful).

                    one can only ponder...

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

It's too late now but some changes that might have been worthwhile are 1. the forwards playing in front, 2. Spida rucking like he had a brain, 3. players mentioning to their teammates that they are about to be tackled, 4. not overusing the ball in defense, 5. kicking long to players on the lead instead of handballing to a player 2m away being shadowed, 6. Buchanan being in the team. etc etc

But those would actually require learning from past experiences, and our club seems like they feel that isn't a necessary part of preparing for a game.

                            I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
