This is going to make the trade week very interesting if he decides to choose Collingwood.

Look at it from West Coasts point of view. If Collingwood put a token offer to WC they may well go down the path of Port and tell Collingwood to get stuffed. I'm sure WC still see themselves as flag contenders in the next few years, rightly so. Obviously Geelong are going to be the stumbling block to win a flag next year, but a Collingwood with Judd would also prove a worthy adversary and may well be the difference between WC winning another flag in the next few years.

I doubt they see a Richmond with Judd as a major threat.

So considering it's all about winning flags, WC may do everything in their power to stop Judd going to Collingwood, to the point of foregoing any compensation for Judd leaving.

True, but that is reliant on the Clubs involved arranging a trade that will allow this. If they get into a situation where one club or another decides to dig teir heels in and be difficult, he will have to go into the pre-season draft and go where he is drafted.

Yes, it goes without saying that if a trade can't be arranged then he could end up in the PSD where the Tigers have 1st pick.

If Judd nominates Collingwood and they aren't willing to offer anything decent then the Eagles would be better off letting him go to Richmond.

If it means Figjam and Dale "look at me" Thomas get less airtime then I am quite happy with the outcome.
