Yea if Travis does get put in the pre season the tigers wont take him because they already have good midfielders and because of his age carlton wont take him same with freo collingwood adelaide
IF judd goes to Collingwood i would never read the news papper it would have him everywhere plus Crap head Buckley

Is that the post I quoted?

Just checked, I quoted post 27, so who was late with the news?

Travis Johnstone is a very good player, but when the going gets tough,Trav gets going(to the bench)

I am flabbergasted with some people on this board, I seriously doubt as to how much non swans football you actually watch.

Yes Travis Johnston is not worth our pick 11 (that was never the initial deal either), but if anyone thinks he is not in for some serious contention for our second pick then they are seriously whacked.

We are not looking for another in and under player so any suggestions that he is soft is stupid, we want an experienced outside midfielder with great foot skils which Johnston has in spades.

Johnston has shown in the past (see 2004) that he is capable of being an elite midfielder and our past record suggests we can get the best out of him where Melbourne have not and that he would help our side improve an area we desperately lack at present.

Would Melbourne be so foolish? What about Bolton and Buchanan and their clothes range for........... Both Melbourne boys, why not.

Why are some so keen to see the back of Monty? I know he didn't have his best season in 2007 but he's still a pretty good player and does things within our team that no-one else seems capable of. I reckon there are only 9 players on the list I'd be less keen to trade (and that includes O'Loughlin who is there for sentimental / entertainment reasons rather than due to his longer term value to the club, and Jolly who I'd trade if we got a reasonable replacement).

Liz I dont dislike Buchanan but if he wants to return to Melbourne as rumoured then what can we do. I was being rather flippent regarding the clothes but would be happy to see the number 24 walking south.

But do these rumours actually have any basis, or are they just someone assuming he's pissed off because he didn't get selected for the Pies final? We've had rumours abounding for years that O'Keefe wanted to leave and there's never seemed to be any basis to those.

And if he's just started a business with one of his team mates, it would seem strange him wanting to pack up and go home.

Johnstone for second round pick is a steal if we can get the best out of him.

Would you trade Buchanan for Johnstone if the deal was on the table?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I wouldn't - Bukes is a premiership player and for that I'd want one of the trading team's best players. Johnstone is not that.
