This is very likely to be the case. A case of any news makes good news irregardless of facts and signitures on dotted lines. Schneider is in Bali FFS!

That is a shocking trade if true, we should at least get a player as well, maybe a Leigh Fisher type.

IF the Schneider and Dempster for pick 26 deal is true, that suggests to me that they're looking to promote an extra rookie to the senior list rather than delisting them....

I guess all will be revealed come tomorrow afternoon...

          All a warning.

Lift your collective game of your gone....

All players that have been named had average / poor seasons. Bucky got warning 1 and 2 by not playing in the finals and got dropped during the season, Scnides got a week or 2 in the seconds as did Demptster.....

Bolts from my recollection didn't get dropped but should have been?

          WAKE UP!

          l could be wrong?

One of the most ridiculous trades ever. We want running players, yet we trade 2 of our most versatile ones?

That 4-year contract of Jolly's must have been pretty big!

So, if true, Roos has traded two 23 year old premiership players for one 25 year old. Our aging team just got older.
What a joke,I really hope this is wrong...Dempster should be retained.

Reports on Real Footy (Fairfax media) that Schneider and Dempster will be traded to the St Kilda scum for only pick 26 surely can't be true. If we have a salary cap problem it can be solved easily - by getting rid of Hall.

Take a chill pill, we are not under salary cap pressure.

Monty, Scheinder & Bolton are all being shopped around to either improve our current list through a swap or a draft pick to on trade for someone else we are looking at.

And FFS, we are not trading at present to lower the list age or to specifically add pace, so any of this he's 23 but he's 25 cr@p is nonsense.

It's all about adding to the strength of the squad in a position or type of player needed and by offering players with some value that we may have in surplus (Monty to Scheinder, Bolton to Kirk).

                        What is Roos thinking?

I really rate Dempster and I think he will be a great pick up for the Saints. I for one will miss him if this is true.
Not surprised he's on the table. There have a couple of embarassing incidents. Remember the 2006 GF when he simply failed to meet the ball and stood waiting like a stunned mullet. He doesn't run hard or straight enough at the ball. Has a problem with putting his head over it. He also has terrible peripheral vision. Nice kick though. He has clearly been regarded as a player with a fatal flaw since the 2006 GF

Schnieder is anything but versatile. His problem is he can't run as a midfielder. His body shape indicates he's probably the unfittest player in the squad. Five minutes up the ground and he is Thomas the Tank engine. As for Dempster he played a really poor passionless game in the 2006 GF. Remember he played on the Norm Smith medallist - Embers for FFS. He is (was?) the softest player on the our list. So the unfittest and softest players are up for a trade. Should this surprise?

Just read this in the Telegraph so the short answer is I have no idea what's going on (probably like Roos himself).

"Things have been blown out of proportion a little bit with them (Bolton, Buchanan and Schneider)," Roos said.

"I'm almost certain nothing is going to happen with them (in trade week). We are not going to give any of them away for nothing, that's for sure."
"As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

                              Media beat up.

Surely they're not silly enough to do that. If it was Dempster and Schneider for their second round pick and Leigh Fisher, I'd be happy.
