I don't know if we have done this deal, but if so, it seems fair to me. We are giving up 2 players that have usually just made it into the 22, while receiving a player that should surely take Bevan's spot in the backline as a regular, as well as a 2nd rounder.
That second rounder + Bolton could just get us a top ten pick. For a team that is probably having salary cap problems and needs to quickly cycle some young players through the squad just to see if they are keepers, a result like that would be quite good for the team overall.
Now, if it were Malceski for Leigh Fisher, that would be a different story. Some players that we like have to go if we are to get the kind of changes to the team that many of us have been asking for all year.Comment

This is getting incredibly cyclical.
Some points to note:
1) I don't think anyone is advocating trading Schneider, Dempster, Buchanan or Bolton unless the deal is a fair one, and preferably at least slightly in our favour
2) I don't think any of those 4 players fit under the "don't trade under any circumstances" category like Goodes, Malceski or Hall would, therefore there must be SOME price at which we would be prepared to trade them
3) None of the rumours concerning St Kilda have been substantiated yet
So what ARE we arguing about? There have been no deals done yet.

If the deal is Sceinder for L Fisher then I am all for it.
Fisher replaces Beven (to be delsited) in our side as the small close checking defender but with more football smarts and good disposal skills.
Both Schmidt and Moore get to fill Scheinders spot.
All year we have been asking for either Schmidt or Moore to play more football and to have Bevan consigned to the seconds.
In one single swoop we have that.

You want to complain about a trade that you were told had not occurred?I rang up the Football club just then, and the woman told me that there hasn't been any deal done yet regarding Adam Schneider or Amon Buchanan.
I told them, I would like to make a complaint about the trade, so she took my name down. It would be good if everyone can do the same, get them to take your name down. I told her, that the fans don't want to lose Schneider or Buchanan.
Uh-huh.
