Interesting view from a WC blogger, and also an amazing amount of stupidity in the general public on both sides in the responses.

also I have to say that whilst I was concerned initially that Hall would go (and you all know how I feel about him) I saw a positive that Davis should come back into the side - he played a great reserves game - so there is an upside of sorts.

I think if it had been Hunter Hall would have received the Order of Australia.

To take another perspective of the incident... It realy was... a really really really good punch!

Just watch our 1 point loss in the grand final and then watch that punch on repeat!!! ... ahhhh takes some sting out of the loss!
Some people say Football is a matter of life and death - I say it's a lot more important than that!

ok - maybe Baz should give Leigh Matthews a call for some advice - he has afterall been there before.

Well Baz could have killed himself running into the fence - he hit his head and everything, but he's still with us as is Staker.

Eating stinky old cheese could be fatal, but I still do it with reckless abandon.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

Driving a car can be fatal too, but I still do it most days.
