Agreed. Apparently what happened is that Staker told Baz that Falzon was his new girlfriend so all Barry was doing was trying to knock some sense into him. Before Baz smacked him he said to Staker, "What?? You want to go where Sonny Bill has been?? You idiot!!" Whack. End of story.

Hall just got 7 weeks & was very lucky. If you think he should have received less, then I think you should try living in the real world.
You should read what is posted in this forum before making more uninformed comments, I said all along he should get 6-8 weeks.
Also, I found your post quite insulting.
Tough, if your skin is so thin you can't handle the truth, that is your problem, not mine. It was a stupid suggestion.
The Swans MADE Barry Hall, not the other way around.
Rubbish, if he didn't have talent the swans wouldn't have traded for him, he proved from his arrival at the club that he was and still is a good footballer
Admitted, he has only made one blemish, but it was a bloody huge one.
You've never made a mistake? If not, you're either perfect or a liar.
He will always be known now as a thug.
Only by those who thought he was before this happened.
Even the players have spoken against him.
you saw a tv interview, where Leo Barry was aked about it, not a press conference where he came out with the express purpose of speaking out against Baz. There is a big difference.
If my post was stupid, then I'm ashamed of the supporters that follow the Swans.
So you are now ashamed to be a Swans supporter, that's your problem.
As we say to the umpires at the footy, "Use 2 eyes mate - not just one"
I think you should practice what you preach. Barry Hall made a mistake, he admitted that, he isn't a mass murderer as the press and some on this site, have almost put his transgression on par with. It is stupid media hype and anyone who gets sucked into it is as stupid as the media.

I agree with GoSwannies14. If he is ashamed to be a Swans supporter, then he can @@@@ OFF, as far as I am concerned.

Way to judge the rest of the playing group because of the actions of one player you bloody fool Mark Busuttil.

If you're ashamed to be a Swans supporter @@@@ OFF and support another team.

This is coming from another long-time South Melbourne supporter, before you call me a bandwagoner.

Is anybody listening to Kevin Bartlett and the load of @@@@ that is coming that show on SEN?

He reckons, just because Barry Hall pleaded guilty, he shouldn't get the 25% discount, whereas someone pleads not guilty, he should get the 25%.

          What a load of @@@@ing @@@@!

            I agree with him.

Forget the Hall thing, let's talk general. If somebody is obviously guilty with zero chance of being found not guilty, why should they get a discount for pleading guilty???

But the 25% discount is for everyone. It's not for everyone except for Barry Hall.

He has had a good record since 2005, and that should be taken into consideration.

It's just another media personality dead set against us!

I thought I explained leave Barry Hall out of it, I was talking general.

As for the good record, that is another kettle of fish completely. They should definately get a reduction for the good record. Where did anybody say otherwise??

When you plead guilty, YOU SHOULD get a 25% discount. No matter who it is. GET IT? Barry Hall shouldn't be treated different, unlike the umpires who treat him differently to any other player.

You shouldn't get one, if you plead NOT GUILTY! In fact, if you plead not guilty, and you're found out, that you are guilty, your sentence should be extended.

See what I am getting at here?

Grim, read carefully, I'll type slowly.

KB wasn't suggesting Barry Hall shouldn't get a reduction but everybody else should. He said that NOBODY should get a reduction for pleading guilty, because in cases, like Halls, where there is no doubt about guilt, it is just a 25% reduction for nothing. GET IT?

On that point, I agree with him.

He also stated that to balance the ledger, so players who are obviously guilty but plead not guilty because they have no reduction to gain, are LOADED with an extra 25% if found guilty after pleading not guilty.

That is the same as what you are saying.

Grim, settle down, it is a commonly used phrase on this forum if someone doesn't understand what is being said.

It's just like saying, "I will say this slowly". It's not meant to be offensive, just a bit of tongue in cheek fun.
