The only reason I tend to classify it as a dog act is that the Eagle player had no idea it was coming so in no way was able to defend himself.

Well we all know drugs can lead to violent outbursts.

As for what Hall did, sure he might have been frustrated with being held anytime the ball was remotly close but no excuse for the punch (albeit if it was with any force he wouldn't got back up).

4 Weeks for the punch, 8 weeks for the wrist.

Same, first time I've seen it properly on replay. Disgraceful.

Well I had not seen it since it was shown once at the game. I still would not call it a dog act. I was not a king hit as such, but it was a clean one.

Lets be careful about shooting the messenger. It was massive incident and Ch10 have every right to show it as many times as possible.

Not a dog act or king hit, but very very stupid.
Hope Nick D has learnt there is more to football than just parking yourself in the forward line all game.

I've recorded the game and watched it frame by frame and it looked very intentional to me. To me it looks like 6 weeks.

They showed it more than once at the game. They showed it multiple times when Staker was going off the field.

In all honesty, I'm surprised Staker didn't see it coming, the pushing was going on and Barry took a peek before he threw the punch that connected.

Still as I said before his wrist injury will probably keep him out for the minimum amount that he's suspended for.

As Darcy said on After the Game, players no longer expect that sort of thing. That's why everyone was so shocked - it rarely happens any more.

its wierd but i take some sort of solace in that and hope if hes suspended like 6-8 weeks he is just injured anyway

Indeed a silver lining of sorts.

I agree. This is what @@@@s me the most. I should be stoked that we smashed the wiggles, but am very very disappointed by the actions of a so called leader of the club at this point in time.
