Bruce is great! I know he's not everyone's cup of tea as a commentator, but at least he has a sense of humour.

To win by 91 points was a fantastic effort considering how @@@@e our first half was. I brought a couple of newbies from O/S to their first game today and they seemed to enjoy it. I think MO'L getting up and kicking that goal after hurting himself taking the mark seemed to spark the team into playing properly. I am slowly starting to warm to Playfair. Kicking is a bit dodgy but he led to the right spots and is a pretty good mark. Nico you are right about Bird and Moore, they are both going to be very good players. Even Bevo played well again today.

Beautiful day, didn't think it was cold at all though it got very chilly in the last quarter. Players seemed to have trouble with the sun, in the first half at least they noticeably favoured the shade-covered wing.

Sounded like 4 seasons in one day in the city at the centre of the universe. That moniker is usually reserved for the most liveable city.

What annoyed me was how bad the turf was today. Bounces were going everywhere! At each change groundsmen were out repacking big divets. JOKE.

kirk obviously always puts his body in and leads the midfield, but i think as its been said its moore bird jack mcveigh etc who seems to be doing the hard work when we are under the pump.

I think buchanan and bolton have had pathetic seasons and if davis is dropped then they should join them.

To be fair to jude it was probably his best game this year (which doesnt say a lot for him) buchanan i think is more likely to come good but is making some decisions.

I think we have to get the balance of our side a bit better to match with the current top 4.

A bit harsh on Kirk, SR100. I thought he was very good today, and in all the hard tough action.

Whilst I agree on Buchanan, he was much better in the 2nd half.
And Jude was not the worst on ground, works hard, but....

Buchanan was good but plays better with his socks down

MOL is one of the greatest players to put on the red and white since they moved to Sydney. What an awesome game today. With Hall out and Davis down and out on form, MOL has stepped up to the mark this season like the champion he is. We adore you Micky!!

I enjoyed the last qr much more than the rest of the game. Last qtr was the cnfidence booster I was hoping we'd get - starting to string some quality handballs, excellent kicking, leading & marking inside 50, and finally some straight kicking!

Let's hope that turns the season around - great to see the old boys Leo & Magic have crackers!

Geez, the Bombers are pretty damn awful...

And I couldn't believe it, but we did some intelligent knock ons.

Yep, I mentioned that in another thread, it's great to see the new boys stepping up. McVeigh just keeps improving, a slow starter like his brother.

Moores run up the wing was brilliant, with a little handball, paddle forward, which resulted in a goal.

It typified the umpiring today. Interfering and often unnecessarily technical, and both teams copped it from them. The game would benefit from them keeping their whistles out of their mouths more often.
