I pretty much said the same thing at the game yesterday. He kicked some thumpers - and most of his disposals were accurate.
If only he played like that every week.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

To be pedantic, to Buchanan. (Who slotted a set shot-- wonders will never cease!) Unless he also kicked a ripper to P that I missed.
Whoops not sure how the heck I got Buchy and Playfair mixed up.

Agree on all counts. I think the week off helped with his niggling injuries, because he was one of the players under an injury cloud in the earlier rounds (excl. when he didn't play).

What I liked about Ablett's game yesterday was that it meant Matthews wasn't playing.

I've busted my gut to get them going year after year, mainly in vain.
Now it is somebody else's turn to make an effort (& see how hard it is) to get Swans fans into the game in Sydney. With Hatley moving south in the near future as well, things are going to get a great deal worse before they get better I'm afraid.

We had complaints about waving the flags when Essendon were shooting for goal because a Bomber fan behind us couldn't see. To make matter worse the security guard said to a guy sticking up for the kid waving the flag "if you'd don't like it, let's take things outside & we'll see how you go. Come on!".

Then we had another patron saying that us getting everyone going with the drums was "disturbing her enjoyment of the football". Um, the ground wasn't full dear. Why not think about moving?

After quite considerable problems we have had in both Sydney & Brisbane with doing things that are just basic normal aspects of the supporter culture, I'll be very happy to be back in the southern states this weekend where people (especially security) just 'get' what you are trying to do.

I think both of these two are struggling to be in our best 22.
Give Bevan time; he has improved out of sight this year, and has established himself in the side. His disposal under pressure has generally improved. It's not there yet, but it's on its way.

Jude, yes. He is stagnating. LRT has had three games in a row playing in his normal position, each of them twice as good as the one before. He is working into form, and should be persisted with.

Well that's just @@@@ing pathetic then. Not you, I mean those people complaining. It's a footy game for @@@@s sake! If you don't want noise and atmosphere when you're watching the footy, then watch it on TV and let everyone else support their side! Oh, and what was with those "thunder sticks" at ANZ Stadium? Talk about a pathetic way of making noise. It sounded like... well, nothing. A vague, low pitch, low volume rumble. Yeah, inspiring.

It's amazing with LRT, give him a decent settled run at CHB and just get's better week in, week out. Shame we had to ruck him earlier this year with Spider out as it through him right out.

Sounds to me like a security guard making a threat of violence against a patron. You should make a formal complaint to ANZ Stadium against that security guard.

I'm watching The Winners on TV right now and I can hear the crowd chanting "Sydney", led by your drum. I really dont know what your whinging about - again. I am getting mighty sick of coming to a Swans fan site and reading posts bagging Sydney based fans.

Those sticks should never be allowed again. Turns anyone who holds a pair into an eleven year old with ADD.

Missed the game as I went to Melbourne as a result of my wife booking tickets last October.

Listened to game on 3AW. Caught last qtr on 7 delayed telecast.

Saturday afternoon at the MCG and it was 10 degrees. Even the mexicans were freezing. Sat night at Dome was a warm 16 degrees and Plugger was in the crowd.

Plane back to Newcastle this morning with Jack Newton and the Soweto Choral Group.

Same here. It must've been really hard for Wallsy to give nothing but praise to the Swans following that broadcast.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore
