Great compliment to Moorey having Adam Ramanouskas pick him up.I'm glad Jarred is showing his wares at last as my mates got sick of me last year complaining he wasn't getting a game when,IMO,he should of.
Just shows Roosy and his chronies know what they are doing.

No doubt it's a nice photo.

A few moments of gross stupidity and/or arrogance, rightly highlighted by the normally irrelevant Ox. Mattner's moment of waiting for the umpire to call play on, standing there as people ran at him, then sending off a scrubby kick was dreadful.

Jude did okay, with one terrific tackle. I didn't even realise Jack was playing until I checked the stats.

He put the ball OTF once and twice missed targets with handballs. 10 possessions, 7 uncontested, 6 effective.

Bevan is useful as a defensive player, but it's hard to see him ever offering much beyond that. He's useful, but there's only a few of those sort of players one can have in the side. With Crouch and Mathews set to finish soon, Bevan may well have a role to play, but he will be at risk from any similar new player who arrives and isn't as limited.

Absolutely. It was a super tackle. I thought Bevan was good yesterday but as has been mentioned he is a pretty limited player. I believed the hype in his debut season but have been sceptical since. He is a useful defensive player with a high work rate and plenty of courage, but not a lot more. Worth having in the side.

There was one very early in the game, where the player had the ball for "minutes", never tried to get rid of it, and the ump called for a ball up.

Very inconsistent with the HTB decisions.

(I thought Potter had killed YTW once and for all ?)

Did Playfair have such a ritualised approach to set-shots in the past ? I can't remember.

10 pages in and I make a blind comment. I know, I know. I should get involved earlier and all that ....

With four minutes to go on the clock, from my fantastic vantage point right behind the interchange bench, I very "quietly" screamed down to Maxie to tell Horse to take MickyO off the field and wrap him in cotton wool cause he looked very tired and we'd already won.

Well stuff me .... Maxie had a chat to Horse, Horse nodded his head, and Heath James looked back at me and gave me the thumbs up sign. 30 seconds later, Micky was dragged for the day - after an extreme job well done day.

Dead set ... that was my highlight. The coaches not only heard me, but went along with the suggestion.

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I'm still trying to stop laughing at your avatar...........

Bevo's dropped off a bit with the footy in his hands for mine in the last couple of weeks. He coughed it up a few times today. Defensively no problem but not as clean with the footy as the first 3 or 4 games.

I'm starting to see a bit of trend with our inside 50's. For everything Kirk did well his delivery inside 50 is always crapola, Jude the same. I'd like to see a new team rule. Make sure Bird, Moore and Jack are on the end of every chain of hands through the centre and are told to deliver inside 50. 8 times out time this trio hit there targets with decent low footpasses while the rest of them continue to butcher it.

I just packed up the replay tape and sent it to the Grim Reaper this morning.

                                Arrrggggghhhhh.

You saw how close I was to Maxie (after spending half the game thinking is that Maxie and if it is, what's he doing here, he's supposed to be spending time with his kids in Melbourne) ... I was so stoked that they paid attention to me, I'm still buzzing!!
