OK lets argue ad absurdum. Eagles are formed and played their first game in 1987. Young Nick who is a telented precocious but extremely perceptive seven year old and whose Dad played for one of the proudest clubs in the comp and in a relocated Swans, tells Dad as a seven year old "Daddy I'm deserting the Magpies and won't be supporting the Swans as the new corporate creation on the other side of the big brown land looks the goods in terms of professionalism, market share and Ron Alexander can coach the pants off Tommy Hafey. Sorry Dad but business is businessComment

What matters is that his genius management has spun this story now. My argument is that this is a crude attempt to ingratiate Davis with a club that he is being touted to, right in the middle of the club trying to focus on the finals campaign. This nonsense is a totally unnecessary diversion. The sooner he is out of the club the better.Bevo bandwagon driverComment

We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

At least Hall's indiscretions were on the field. Davis is party to rediculous media "campaign" aimed to improve his chances of getting a contract with another club. Thanks heaps Davo.Bevo bandwagon driverComment

Davis himself refers to this phenomena in the paper today:
"She [Anna] thinks it's funny that I'm not playing and I'm in the paper more than other people in the team," he said. "A lot of people ask, 'why are you always in the paper?' and say I'm like a Willie Mason in the NRL.
"We always attract attention, whether we're playing good, bad or indifferent - or off the field."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

Davis, Not a great bloke - Swann
Ouch.
Davis is certain to be dumped by Sydney at the end of the year, and is again in hot water after missing a training session on Friday.
Davis and Swann spent time at Collingwood, and it was on that basis the former Pies chief executive delivered one of the season's great sprays.
Swann said Davis's manager Lance Thompson had contacted the Blues to assess their interest in the small forward in recent weeks.
Asked if the Blues were interested, Swann said: "Not in a million years.
"No. I had a bit to do with him in a past life. He's not a great bloke. We don't need him at our club.''Comment

Two things from this. Thompson was talking to the Bankers and Tankers weeks ago. Wasn't our little champ supposed to be in line for call up but for his injury? If Davis had not been injured, according to many pundits here he should have played against the mob his manager was touting. But there is some justice in the world apparently because even they don't want him. And this is a club with no ethics. This is a club that tolerates the most monumental w@@@@r ever to lace a footy boot, has a convicted corporate scammer as a former president, has a disgraced corporate cowboy as another former president and regularly honours a former player who did time in Coburg. Well - thank you linesmen and thank you ball boys.Bevo bandwagon driverComment

That's what happens when you burn your bridges.
Not turning up to training either. No chance he will play for us again.
If he has more friends come out in the media, unlikely he'll play for any AFL club.He ate more cheese, than time allowedComment
