Another article - he sure is a popular young man ...

Explains a little bit why he wasn't as lively last week as we've come to expect from him ...

    Veszpremi's dream time at the 'G - realfooty.com.au

First, though, there are some Bulldogs to beat and he hopes he feels better than last week, when he was hit by a stomach bug in the rooms before playing North Melbourne and threw up on the bench.

MORE than one dream will come true when Patrick Veszpremi plays on the MCG for the first time tonight. When he was eight, he made his first trip to the ground, sat in the old northern stand, watched Nathan Buckley kick a goal and wished it could be him out there.
Oh no, he didn't support the Swans as a boy, he's not committed to the Swans, the world is doomed!!!

"I've been getting a bit worried about it. After the Brisbane game, I just kept thinking, 'Oh no, I did too many celebrations'," Veszpremi said.
Personally I love his enthusiasm after scoring goals, it's really refreshing to see that from a Swannies player. Have no problem with it at all.

Nice story. Shame his granddad can't get to the game.
Me too eggbeater. I love seeing the team enjoy themselves and loving their footy. Makes it more fun.

I really enjoyed that article. What a time to debut at the G!

The article's a piece of fluff.

Vespa's a show-pony who is soft (one lucky goal V NM) and blames it on a virus / tummy bug (why did he play FFS?).

Drop him. Ablett had more posessions than I thought - keep him in....
(yes, a bit of baiting here).

Tummy bug is just a polite way of saying that he spewed because he's a kid who got flattened by finals nerves. It showed - he played a nervous game. Better get on top of it tonight as the cauldron is no place for nervous nellies. He's talented but does he have character? He has the exam tonight.

There are a few Swans playing for their career tonight.
Too slow, over the hill, etc. etc. from the media will be tested again.

Had a Barry Crocker, as did half the team after 1/4 time.

Yeah he was ordinary, as that article written about him on friday states, he is not fit enough yet at AFL level. Roos had to play him though, we needed another game breaker...
