It will probably drag until friday. He'll see if the Swans up the money at the last minute. If not he'll just accept what the best offer has been to him. If he goes, I'll bet it will be Carlton. In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.Comment

AFL website is now reporting that the Swans are resigned to losing O'Keefe. Or more accurately, reading the article, that Maxfield has confirmed that O'Keefe has requested a trade but that they haven't entirely given up hope of retaining him.Comment

Looks like ROK's on his way....
Ed Considine's day out - Round 3, 16th April 1995.
11 Kicks, 13 Handballs, 8 Marks, 1 Goal, 1 Behind, 1 Tackle, 1 Hitout, 3 Brownlow votes (his only votes)

I'm hoping that ROK has told them he wants to make the move to play with a contending side and is happy for the Swans to endeavour in good faith to do an acceptable deal with Hawthorn/Dogs/Pies/Blues (maybe Bombers), but if they can't get the first rounder they want or an equally good deal, they won't make the deal and ROK will stay in Sydney, rather than go to Melbourne or Perth via the PSD.Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment

I'm very disappointed, in fact devastated at the confirmation that ROK wants to go. I'd have to say I haven't felt more down since that day in 2006.
However, we now have to get something good for him, and if Hawthorn is interested, I'd be thinking 16 and Tim Boyle would be the starting point.

Pick 16 and Bea Dowler from Hawthorn should be our target.
Carlton won't trade pick 6 and Collingwood never give up anything so it's pointless to deal with them.
Essendon can only deal with Lovett and that is not an option.
So it's the Hawks all the way with their first pick and a quality young tall in Dowler (who was taken at 6 a couple of years ago).

I'm not a Boyle fan by any stretch of the imagination but I think he has more to offer than Dowler. I've seen plenty of Dowler and I don't think he is up to AFL level - thought he was taken way too high at the time.Bloods
