Is this the Shaw that had the "car incident" with Didak not long ago, or was it the other one? I can't remember.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

No that was Heath. However, Rhyce was drinking with them prior to the incident - that's why he was suspended for 2 weeks.

Well if we are vomiting, then that probably means Collingwood faithfull will be too, losing yet another to the Swans. Almost worth it.

HOWever, Adelaide were happy enough to move Marty on, and we did very well out of it. Maybe it will be the same with Shaw....maybe. Perhaps. Hmm. We will know in about six months. Keep those posts coming.

Oh of course, I'd much rather put Rhyce into our team than Heath
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

It's the better of the two evils.

Looks like they're going to have to open up the "bad-boy reprocessing unit" again. It's been a while!!

I know Roos devalues the draft but would be surprised if we had one pick inside top 40 in last undiluted year.

This suggests - or I hope it does - they have another trade coming, either a high pick on ROK or another player is going to be shuffled out for a second rounder.

                      re rhyce shaw

Why don't the Swans try and get Heath Shaw with pick 11 or whatever hig draft pick ?

                      Why separate the brothers !!!!

If they did that then that would be the last straw

And if we weren't planning on using the 3rd round pick (or the 4th round pick we've got back in exchange) it's cost nothing.

Shaw's not a dud. He does have great pace. He was playing very good footy before he did his knee a couple of years back. Struggled last year but played some decent footy for the Pies this year. Worst case he helps the ressies make it 5 in a row and we delist him in a couple of years. Reportedly has a slack attitude (likes his booze) but maybe he'll get his act together up in Sydney.
This certainly came out of left field, but it could turn out to be a real coup. As you said he is pretty quick across the ground, plus he's hard at it, and until his injury he was an important player in a side that has repeatedly beaten us at our own game. Considering he's cost nothing, it's definitely worth the gamble . . . and surely a lower risk than a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick!

I'd guess that this trade means that we've got a few delistings to come yet?

Only the Swans would choose to use only 2 picks in the best draft in years, and the last uncompromised one for many seasons. Hope you're wrong!

                                Some more trades;

Brent Primsall to Essendon for pick 39
Robert Warnock and pick 69 to Carlton for picks 24, 56 and 72. - will 24 somehow come into the play for the ROKster?
