They'd better hurry up ... the AFL doesn't like all the deals done at 4.57pm on Friday.

    Send in the mediators!!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

                Roosey's too honest a bloke.
He "gave away" Schnides & Dempster last year for almost free didn't he?

That's what we want our club to do to others on the field - Yes

Off the field and trading they remind me of an unscrupulous person with no morals who would do anything for a favourable deal. As an example I wouldn't be the type to take advantage of a family member in mortgage distress whereas the Hawks come across like that type of group.

I'd rather give ROK away for a second rounder (what's the difference if we get pick 16 - only 1 pick from 2nd round) to another team. Why would we potentially help them to a second Premiership with a crappy deal?

Give us pick 16 and a promising younger player eg. Thorpe and then we'd be happy.

SEN 5 minutes ago. ROK to Hawks ,pick 16 to Demons for Brad Green. IMO we would be the losers on that deal. Big time.

I will cry if that went ahead (not really).

                      Terrible deal.

                        Pelchin wins again.

Can see Roos now saying how excited we are picking up Green. He just won't add the bit about achieving another chance at finals next year.

Even though this pick is a gamble in the draft, I can't understand that we still have to draft 3 players. Wouldn't it be better odds to have 3 in top 30 than 1 in Rd 1 and then 1 in each of Rd 3 and 4. I'm sure we'll give away our second pick like we did last year.

I bekeive we will finish with 16 PLUS a player.. the othr option is Essendon for their 2nd ( only a few places lower that Hawks 1st) and Stanton..

If we get Green, Hawks ROK, and Dees get P16 (as some scribes are saying down here) we are the sole losers in a three way deal, I cannot believe we could agree with this, if we do then we seriously need a new management team at the Swans.

Agree whole heartedly. I mentioned this in the Okeefe thread. I would go so far as to say thats the Swans finished as far as i go as a supporter. We always seem to get dudded in these trades. We will probably go for some little guy in the draft when we need a backman. LB cant last forever. At least with 14 and 16 we get a chance to try for both. 16 and a player from Hawks, not sure who would help us.

I w.as originally looking forward to this week.

The value of a team is based on the number of players that other Clubs would like to have. Apart from ROK, we can't seem to give ours away.

Sadly we've dropped out pants for pilchard again. ROK for Green is just propping up Roos for the finals - 7th final series in 2009

If this trade goes ahead I hope we finish bottom 3. And to think we have Roos for another 3 years.
