It's not a bad deal. He doesn't cost much and he's got some pace.

At the very least, he'll put pressure on the current midfield and halfback line. They've been injury prone the last couple of years, and Tadgh maybe headng back home at the end of next year. SO all in all a good pickup.

He has pretty good stats this year: avg 20 disposals and 2.9 tackles.

As others have pointed out, we got him for virtually nothing. It's worth a punt. I doubt we'll be getting too many other ready made players in the next 1hr 15 mins.
Sorry Scott, but he is an absolute dickhead and ontop of that is perhaps the worst CP that we have ever picked up, and that includes Bomford and O'Connor
I am still vomitting here at the prospect of this guy in red and white, and have had to take the laptop to the loo, as th4e bucket is full already.

Another list clogger. I guess that's the price we pay for 'not bottoming out'. At least he cost us next to nothing.

Agree with overall sentiment.....but Bomford and O'Connor is stretching it a bit! And what about Begovich, Considine, Wigney, Picken, Daffy, etc etc.....

Mattner? Really? I thought he was a great pick up at the time - I must have a short memory!

Shaw's not as bad as some people will have you believe. Certainly not a great player but far from the worst we've recruited and we got him for nothing.

Wigney wasnt that bad was he? Also, I remember Daffy kicking one of the most memorable goals I have ever seen anyone kick in the red and white........ actually come to think of it, I think Daffy only kicked ONE goal in his time at the swans.

I think we did very well to pick up Shaw, so long as he's happy to play for us. Am happy with it myself and so might more of you be if you could see past your all-things-Collingwood bias.

Anyone who mentions Daffy as a poor draft pick needs to acquaint themselves with the facts on that trade.

Considine wasn't THAT bad. Brad Green, on the other hand...

Both of them only played one game I think.
Pretty sure Wigney broke his leg against Footscray and Daffy kicked a late goal against Carlton at Princes Park in his only appearence.

One positive about it is that at least Bevo and some of the others will now get a rest from the slagging off on RWOL, as there will be someone on the list who will truly screw-up week after week after week...

If he ever replaced Tadhg I think that'd be the last straw.

I'm not terribly bothered by us getting him, but it seems a little pointless. Will he stop Thornton or Schmidt from getting a game? Will he replace Crouch?

I'll be very disappointed now if we delist Davis considering we're in desperate need of forward options, having just taken on a player we have more than enough of.
