    Isn't the way the tiggers are getting him against the rules or something??
    They want to put Polak on the ROOKIE list so that they have room to recruit????

    I don't think so. That'll open a whole new can of worms for the AFL.
    Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
    Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

        Good luck to Cuz and the Tigers and congratulations to Kevin Sheedy for going into bat for Cuz so heavily. Like he says, everyone deserves a second chance.

          1st in my fantasy team..

          I was lsitening to Pert radio this week and a lot of weagles fans were saying they would be prepared to tear up their eagles memberships and follow the tiges....

          its sad that we as a society praise those in normal circles for trying to turn their life around, yet if they are a celeb or sports star its unforgivable, like somehow they are immuned to lifes pressures...

            The Swans give you a lot of highs, for example:

            *when we come back from nowhere in the last few seconds to win after playing crap all game;
            *when Goodes runs absolutely brilliantly through the midfield and then kicks the goal;
            *Kirk tackling himself into the ground;
            *when Bazza has a half decent game, takes a mark (contested or not) kicks a couple of goals and doesn't break anyone's face.

            But bloody hell what I would have done for the buzz of Cousins being in the team. Would have made what could be a relatively tough season very exciting.

            Looks like the Richmond fans will get that feeling instead. Oh well, we'll probably pinch someone in the next few years with all that freed up salary cap. Have to have a look at who isn't signed up for the long haul in other clubs.

              We are almost there! Only a few days and this thread will finally die!

              Picking up Cousins is going to win the Tiges a flag- give me a break!! They have far bigger problems in their team that can't be solved by one recruitment. No doubt it will help them, but they are still nothing but a mediocre mid table team!

                Sounds like another team that I know... They run around in red and white. Perhaps you know them???

                  This bull-dust put out by Richmond that this is not about the Richmond club but about giving a bloke a second chance is vomitous! It has NOTHING to do with giving him a second chance and EVERYTHING to do with Richmond. If the player was someone like a Jeremy Humm or even a Rohan Jones then there'd be no interest at all in second chances. At least be honest Richmond, you are recruiting him because he can play. Come out and say that and you'd generate a little bit of credibility.

                  And let's stop this crap (even on this message board) about a second chance. He's had a heap of chances. The Eagles must have given him half a dozen that we even know about! And why? Because he can play! So what must the Eagles have known to have cut him and refuse to entertain taking him back? I suggest a lot that will never see the light of day (not unlike the report on the WCE). He's a drug attic who cavorts with the underworld and flaunts this image he thinks he has of being somehow an infamous rebel. He's smug and self focussed, shows no contrition and gives little respect to serious drug testing. I'd prefer someone like Luke Vogels to get a second chance. At least he earned it!

                      Nothing wrong with Vogels he didn't get enough in the firsts but I would still prefer to have a chance on a bloke with proven ability to put my team in contention for a flag. He might not be good enough to make the difference in the Tigers but maybe we are a better team and a star could mean the difference. WHO CARES.....YOU TOO would be screaming your lungs out with cousins kicking goals for us. I don't care about second chances here ....he gets the job done or he doesn't. Our loss...

                        I'd be screaming my lungs out alright and I'd be on the phone to Sydney asking:
                        (a) How our club had fallen to such desperate depths.
                        (b) How our club could reward a player whose cheating probably cost our team a back to back flag.
                        (c) How our total team values had been pitched out the window in pursuit of a possible (and I say possible advisedly) short term gain.
                        (d) Why we were destroying the respect we have with all groups in the footy community.

                          I think Bazza might have already had something to do with the Swans losing respect not to mention 2006

                            They have an abysmal record with drug cheating. Justin Charles ring any bells? A rat @@@@ club on the way to oblivion. And Cuz is just the lad to take them there.

                                ...and Richmond has an abysmal drugs record because of one player!

                                It must be lonely for some people in their self righteous ivory towers.
