As for our membership, I would be staggered if those poorly timed price rises and seating shenanigans did not have some sort of impact on top of loss of 'discretionary' members due to the financial crisis.
Perhaps Legs Akimbo you should worry about your own backyard first. NMFC are more than capable of looking after theirs..... Revealing Swans membership figures would be a start!

        Hilarious Connolly, just hilarious.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Don't sweat it Kanga... Uncle Andrew will look after us. Being the protected species we are and all. Life is good knowing that your team will never be allowed to fold or be forced to relocate.

Question is, Who's going to look after that rabble of yours once all the hysteria dies down??? For just how long will the now annual "Save Nth Melbourne" membership drive remain a popular distraction in Melbourne every February??

As much as we might disagree with him , Kanga's entitled to defend his club on here as long as he does it nicely *grins*

                thanks!

Didn't expect the support, but I find it amusing that some posters either ignore the origin of the Swans or have never heard of SMFC when it comes to discussing relocation? strange.....

For those of us with long lives and long (if fading) memories, Kangas mob in the back paddock with Channel 7 were the main instigators in the VFL of the removal of the Bloods from Melbourne. Remember the vile gnome Aylett? Well its karma. The roo is rooted and frozen in the lights and sights. Pull the trigger greaser and get it over with.

Yep. Hence the 'as much as we might disagree ' part. It's the main reason I still enjoyed beating Carlton even when they were crap given they played a huge part in that too (which I didn't find out about until much later)

Still I've got no problems with opposition fans if they're not trolls or ferals.

Having won the year before made it disappointing, but it didn't hurt. If we had lost by a point, not having won the year before.....now that would have hurt.

There are more posters on this forum that were originally South Melbourne supporters than there are real North Melbourne members.

I know a North supporting family that bought memberships for all of their relatives, despite the fact most of them are members of the teams that they actually support.

Like Ange & Annie - I was disappointed I didnt suffer "hurt" from it- However I was suffering real physical pain after my car accident at Princess Park that same night - the game all of a sudden was just a match I attended earlier in the day - it was now out of my mind and a new set concerns emerged.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Perhaps you may wish to point me to some evidence of the NMFC involvement in the SMFC's demise and relocation to Sydney........

Still no word on the Swans membership figures though. Puzzling.

I seem to recall stories of Eugene Arocca being involved - seems odd considering his arguments for the Kangaroos to stay in Melbourne. Despite being a non-Victorian and having benefited from the Swan's move, I'm still one to hold a grudge. I shall shed no tears when the Kangaroos fold and lose their identity when their remnants become the third Western Australia team.

Have I said that Cuz would have been good for membership numbers?
