That was realllly gooood. Almost got the synchronicity of 2005. I have to put my Reg dart board on the shelf for a while, worked hard, did some fabulous things, did some aaaggghhh Reg! things, but much much better.

And I would like to say that Jesse White became a fully fledged AFL player today.

Now, I am off to watch my recording plus wine and possibly chips. Hope the commentary is worthwhile.....sigh.

Lovely day out, we watched the game from a different spot to normal as we we played in one of the half time Auskick matches. The best thing about the first quarter was being there as a coach with a bunch of young charges and being able to point out "see, that's why we tell you to run to the danger spot in front of goals!".
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Aren't you a bit old to still be playing Auskick?

Crouch showed how much we've missed a classy small defensive player with a great game today. Also proved how much he still has to offer if his body holds together.

            Overall a fantastic team performance.
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.

First quarter was really pleasing to watch. Not just for the 8 goals but for the defensive pressure and gave Port no room to manouevre. We also seem to have morphed into a team that moves the ball quicker, sometimes to our own detriment, but on the whole to great effect giving our forwards plenty of space to work into.

Anyone think the boundary umpire, who looks like Scott McLaren, has a crooked throw?

Bear. you obviously in the full flush of victory forgot to mention this. So let me assist. Bevo beat a very classy small forward today. Ebert kicked two when the game was over. The Bevanator has matured into not just a good ordinary player but a very smart good good player. We beat Port today from where we always beat them - out of defense. They simply fail (refuse) to put pressure on our run out of defense. Wish we could play them every week.

There were a couple of very wonky throws in the Richmond game. Not sure if they were from the same umpire. We get the same four boundary umpires pretty much every game up here. (I learned recently that they have a panel of 24 and 4 of those are Sydney based. They generally umpire in their home state.)

I realised a few weeks ago that I know one of the Sydney regulars. He doesn't look anything like Scott McLaren so he can't be the offender. I'll see if I can find out which one it might be!!

That's something different, we've finally won 2 in a row. Now for 3 in a row against the Bulldogs and break another cycle and win away from home?

Unfortunately I couldn't get access to any broadcast but... WHAT A GREAT WIN BY THE SWANNIES!!!

Looking at the stats, it's safe to say we dominated the possession and just about every positive area of the game. We're just 0.3% out of the top 4.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

Very important to get that great win Looking at the fixture, I think i'd be happy to win 1 out of the next three (dogs, hawks, coll). The dogs will be REALLY tough to beat, hawks at the 'G equally tough then coll, well we all know how we have faired against them recently! %^&%! then I notice we have adelaide in adelaide!

I really enjoyed that game. We really did play 4 qtrs of good football.
Our tackling pressure was absolutely fantastic.
Some of the clearance work with Goodes and McVeigh was great.
Grundy's mark was superb - wish he had the confidence to go for those kind of marks more often I think it would do wonders for his game. His disposal was very ordinary today which was unlike him but I thought he got involved a lot and PA are very quick side.
I loved that we kicked so many goals they couldn't fit the names of the kickers on the scoreboard!
All 22 players had positives today. There wasn't anyone that didn't contribute.

So much for Daniel Motlop's bag of tricks! Man Port must be a frustrating team to follow, they were terrible early.

Great to see us play positive, attacking football!! The sting did go out of the game in the second half, you can always tell when the people around you start to tune out from the game. McVeigh probably our best over four quarters. Bulldogs next week will be interesting! We almost got close to them last year but couldn't stay with them for four quarters. They still have an edge in class but I'm really keen to see us have another crack at them. Bring it on!

There was a passage of play late on, where Port had the ball running towards their forward line, and I had a quick glance to see who Port had in there, only to see Motlop with his back to play! It turns out he was following the play on the screen in the Churchill stand. Does that count as a trick?

Hmm, I missed that. Maybe if it had hit him in the back and he'd spun around to kick it in mid-air through for a goal?
