Gotta agree with kanga. I thought that without Hall we really lacked a key forward and was really suprised they left white out. The performances of some of the young guys was good and encouraging for the future but the game was really ten v eleven type quality.

Allegedly White kicked 6 goals in the ressies (it could have been 8). Those at the aftermatch were a bit pissed that he wasn't named this week.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.Comment

Spot on skippy. The decision to play only one ruckman could have been disasterous. Also Hale kicked your boys out of it. He beat Bolton (not allowed to say that) pointless with ten marks and should have kicked three in the first quarter. Poor old Bevo is getting a bollocking and he beat his opponent. Imagine if we had lost good sport?Bevo bandwagon driverComment

Yes Hale belted Bolton and yes he should have capitalised - but the other side to that was about 4 freak goals from stoppages in the first half. Swings & roundabouts...Comment

I don't think either North or Sydney played even close to fault free footy, and both teams had a number of young, developing players. But it was a highly competitive and entertaining match and not a victory that should be marginalised for the Swans because "they were only playing the Roos".Comment

[QUOTE=liz;447100]Yep. This was the North that pushed the Dogs all the way last week. The same Dogs who are in fantastic form and who then annihilated the reigning premiers this weekend.

Exactley Liz, we did push Adelaide and Collingwood and almost pulled of a couple of wins. They're both travelling pretty well at the moment.Comment

From year to year the Swans have a habit of making it a tight contest regardless of where our opposition are at. We played well against the Pies and Crows and we have the Dees coming up and I bet we won't smash them. It's as if the Swans focus on who the opposition is and play accordingly. We rarely get smashed and we also rarely blow other teams out of the water.Comment

We become one dimensional in some games.
When he's in the team everything focuses around him.Comment

I thought we won because we had a few more guns in the middle. I don't think our forward line functioned at all well. I reckon we would've won easily if Hall had played.Bloods

We missed him everytime the ball was bombed and on almost every occasion the Kangas cleared it. No one to break packs, to run stright up the corridor and no real muscle in the forward line. Barlow did really well at centre half forward and with Big Beamish playing behind him with Vezpremi, Thornton and Magic we have a talented and multi=dimensional forward line. One that we need against the Sainters and Cats. To leave the big bloke out for the next month is madness.Bevo bandwagon driverComment

Hall is required if only to draw the attention of the defence away from others. We need him more than he needs us probably.
I was surprised not to see grundy have a go at full forward yesterday, but i was actually impressed with his game yesterday.
It was a good win, but then i watched the rest of the saints and cats and saw we are miles off the pace.Theres not much left to sayComment
