Agree with the others. Good player at the clearances but lacks foot speed which is what we need. Pass.

I disagree that we're well set with clearance players. We've been smashed in that department for most of the season (as Nico has frequently pointed out). If you get first hands on the ball at centre clearances and have some players lurking around with good kicking skills to then move the ball forward to advantage, footspeed becomes largely redundant. On the other hand, if you're always second to the ball, you spend most of the game chasing tail, and can be made to look slow and stagnant regardless of the pace or running ability of the team.
Having said that, I don't think we are close enough to challenging for the flag to justify trading a decent pick (which is what it should take) for a player in his late 20s however good a clearance player he is. We're better off hoping that Bird and Hannebury et al can step up over the next two or three seasons and start winning some quality ball in the middle.Comment

The Swans won't be playing a grand final next year. We're much better off getting 50-100 games experience into our young players for when they'll be needed to play big finals and hopefully win them off their own boot."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

Really for mine, we'd have to be talking about a quality "under-valued" fourth string midfielder like a Chance Bateman, Luke Ball, Giansiracusa/Griffen etc before we started talking draft picks. That's my view at least.Comment

clearance players
?????
What are they?
Rovers?
I think I've been saying all year our roving department sucks.
Bring back Kels and have him do a refresher course with them.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

Take care everyone. IF they take on Seaby, we will have a lot of word swallowing going on, and IF he gets taken on and does brilliantly, my oh my we will be a sea of red faces, which would look very pretty come final day, dotted amongst the crowd. If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment
