Crazy AFL.com.au idea
What if ... Fev was a three-way trade? - AFL.com.au
In: Pavlich, Peake, Carlton 2nd round (27)
Out: ROK, Hall, Barlow (all to Carlton) Brabazon (to Freo)
IMHO, Freo get screwed big time, but I guess they're used to that in trade weekComment

Pavlich and Goodes on the same team?
Goodes rotating between the midfield and CHB, Pav between midfield and CHF, that would be awesome.
I would be sad to see Pebbles leave. We could cover him, not replace him, if our youngsters stay fit."Fortunately, this is the internet, so knowing nothing is no obstacle to having an opinion!." Beerman 18-07-2017Comment

I'm putting my money on Fev not going anywhere, Bazza getting to the dogs with our current offer of pick 31, us getting Kennedy from the Hawks, and us keeping ROK too. But maybe I'm just not getting into the spirit of trade week.Superman still wears Brett Kirk PyjamasComment

For those who missed the previous 18 disavowals, Roos says:
- Not interested in Fev.
- Not giving up pick 6.

Reckon there's a fair chance he'll be on an AFL list though, just because he's from Geelong.Bloods

It's possible other teams may look at him, although his cousin Tuck who is also up for trade may be more attractive for a team looking for a midfield extractorComment

I really think we're building a team to be reckoned with in the next 2-3 years and I don't think Fev and his hefty price tag, let alone what it would initially cost us in the way of a trade, are part of it. We've done very well with our bits and pieces players we've gotten the last few seasons - Shaw, Mattner, Richards, they've cost little and added a lot. I like this strategy and hope it continues.
With the likes of White and Johnson coming through, I don't think we need the big marquee type forward any more.
Of course if Pav said "I want to go to Sydney and no-where else will do", then scratch out all of the above!Comment

I was thinking the same, i have not actually heard roosy say 'we dont want him' (unless ive missed something), he has just been referring that it would be too difficult to get a deal done etc and it would be unlikely. If carlton are willing to continue to pay most of his contract like has been suggested, then they really DO want him out. If they are so desperate to get rid of fev, then they dont really have alot of bargaining power, maybe a second round pick and a player would be sufficient. I would not write off the swans at least putting some sort of offer on the table around this time next week for fev, surely his marketing appeal in sydney is too great for them to ignore.Comment
