Teasdale - dodgy knee
Morwood - never went to Sydney
Young - I think another with a dodgy knee, played a few good games
King - just a player
Smith - good average footballer
Orchard - average
Hawke - goal of the year his claim to fame.
Osbourne - past his best
They haven't done too well out of us.Comment

North have a lot to answer for re: Hawthorn's attitude to trading - bent over on dreadful swaps such as Hay (and to a lesser extend Thompson). Since then Pelchen and the Hawks think trading is about exploiting the other party, otherwise they're not interested.
They wanted a first-round pick for a 32 y/o Everitt (even the second time in 2006), then last year they wanted O'Keefe without making a decent offer. Seemingly doing the same with Burgoyne this year.
If they're consistent (which is unlikely), if their offer for Gibson is pick 25, surely they can't expect anything more than a third round (or even later) pick for Kennedy (who they want so much they've only offered a 1-year deal).Comment

From what I have read Jolly could be part of a three way deal involving Carlton, Swans and Collingwood.
I would assume something like:
Collingwood Lose: Pick 14, quality youngster such as Dawes
Gain : Jolly
Swans Lose : Jolly, Barlow
Gain : Fevola
Carlton Lose: Fevola
Gain: Barlow, Pick 14, and Collingwood player.Comment

I'd rather pick 9 from Hawthorn than Fev. He's probably got 3 years of his best football left, but it wont do us any good because we wont be challenging for a flag.Comment

No way we'll give up Jolly without gaining a first round pick in return.
Gives us a rare opportunity to really bring in two talented kids for the future. We really have no need for Fevola when our planning must surely be for 2-3 years from now."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

As this week has gone on I've developed a gut feeling that Fev won't be traded. I think there are too many things working against it happening. Carlton will ask for too much, his high salary etc.
And they really would be crazy to trade him given the chance to win a flag in the next few years.Comment

Sydney coach Paul Roos said the Swans would try to help Jolly move south, but would not let their 27-year-old No.1 ruckman go cheaply.
While Collingwood have reportedly offered their first round draft pick (No.14), Roos indicated a late first-round pick was well below their expectations.
"Given what we got him for, we gave pick 15 and he's a far better player now, so that gives you an idea of what we'd be expecting," Roos said.Official Driver Of The "Who Gives A @@@@ As The Player Will Get Delisted Anyway" Bandwagon.

He's a far better player so he will most likely play a lot longer than even players four or five years younger, that the pointYou don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby ZieglerComment

I believe thzt Collingwood gave pick 14 for Cameron wood....to show you the worth of even an unproven ruckman."I'll acknowledge there are more talented teams in the competition but I won't acknowledge that there is a better team in the competition" Paul Roos March 2005Comment
