Interestingly consistent themes from the training reviews - you wonder if our two big "new" recruits for 2010 won't be Malceski and Tadhg? What a huge difference for the team it would be if those two bounced back to premiership form?

If you look at how we finished off the year in 2009, we've really only lost Mick O of note from those sides. If the two new rucks can cover the loss of Jolly, we've likely added to those late 2009 sides, Tadgh, Mal, Bradshaw, McGlynn, Richards, Bird and maybe TDL plus expected improvement from a number of youngsters (and Barlow!). Looking good.
Interesting that Sumner stood out for both Jeffers and myself at last Monday's training session and today there's a really positive article on him on the Swans website. Could HE be the 2010 bolter?Comment

Thanks for the write up guys!
I must say Patty V looks fit as! Hopefully an injury free and fit 2010 and he can show what we have seen glimpses of!

Thanks heaps for the pictures and write-up!
It gives us a great insight into how the boys are coming along.
Hannebery and lost so much weight I could hardly recognise him!
How's the 'Great White's' new ink coming along as well?Comment

It doesn't take much to turn losses into wins. Imagine the games we lost last year by small margins or dumb mistakes and you can say that had we had Tadgh and Eski in top form it could have made the difference and got us over the line. In which case we would have yet again made the finals. Now we not only have them coming into the side but we have Bradshaw a proven game winner, and exciting recruits (Mumford, McGlynne etc)and young stars in the making who should step up(Jack Barlow,Meredith,Hannebery,Bird, Smith, TDL, Grundy, etc). It's a great time to be a Swans fan!Comment

Latest news from the trial game is very exciting as it looks like quite a number of the new players are in advance/better than we'd hoped.
I didnt know alot about Kennedy and the thoughts on RWO about him were mixed so to see this below on the Swans site was great (bold type is mine)
Josh Kennedy - Josh has added some size and strength around the stoppages. He has clean hands and rarely fumbles. He covers the ground well and looks like he will really compliment our midfield this year.
TDL looks a must starter and Jetta and Sumner look like they'll make early appearances too.Comment

Go to the various Hawks fansites to get their thoughts.
Most are absolutely spewing they lost him at a time he is ready to bloom (according to them).Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment
