I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time -
Just throwing it out there; but maybe he is not that good. Are some people grossly overrating him?Comment

Has shown plenty of promise in his few senior appearances. Kicks goals in the reserves and named in the best regularly. For Bevan to get a call up before him, there must be something going on behind the scenes.Bloods

I made a comment to some other R&Wers that Ves would make a good golfer. He is not a natural team man.
However, it must be said that he does work very hard in the twos, and he blows like a broken down horse far too much for this sort of game. I am not sure the fella could run out a game, he has the shoulder set of an asthmatic - Kell was similar, but different. I think all the effort and ability is there, on the ground, but perhaps the package is not complete enough for an AFL player. My theory only, not necessarily that of the Swans Coaching or Medical Panel. He has also more often than not carried injury that just does not seem to fix itself (I am thinking Heath James....). Guess one day they will tell us, or he will burst onto the scene and take his place. If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

I was talking more about his relationship with the coach than fitness
I think fitness was a concern as a junior but there is no indication from Roos or anyone else that is why he isn't playing seniors. I hope it's because the coaches want to give him a solid run of games in the 2s to get fitness and confidence in his fitness up. Every indication is that he will be a gun for us."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

My impression when I saw Vesz play at Queanbeyan was that he ran and played hard but that there were problems with his breathing when he came off for a break.Comment

This is the first I've heard of it, but i was checking out the swans V hawks posts on big footy and someone on there mentioned a rumour about Ves perhaps moving on next year. Perhaps with GC. It sort of suggested that he was one of the players that had already signed with GC. Has anyone else heard these rumours?
It's probably crap, but one thing i do remember is Roosy, when being asked about what he thought of players that had agreed to join GC before actually coming out of contract, saying if he knew of a player in his side that had done that he wouldn't be playing them ( or words to that effect).Comment
