As long as we don't see Ed and Ted again, I'm not too fussed.
Changes for next week.

I hate excuses like this. People have been offering up the same ones for Turnover Ted since he arrived at the club. He's not good enough to play on the best forwards, not a KPP and yesterday showed he was too slow. The fact the J-Pod kept getting onto his left to snap goals was also damning of our defenders' footy smarts including Ted.Richards had a terrible game, but people quickly forget how well he played against Brisbane the week before. He, like Barlow, are a little mentally fragile when under siege and Kardina Park is the absolutely worse place for these kinds of players - it's downright hostile.
The fact Ted's best position is playing as a loose man in defence doesn't reflect well on his abilities or his future at the club. If we have the luxury of playing a loose man it should be someone who uses the ball infinitely better than Ted."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

Unfortunately all true. We got the best out of an average player from Essendon. (past tense)I hate excuses like this. I know he could sometimes be described as being on fire, but I think you mean you like to see his flair, not flare - but with the red boots, maybe that's just how it looks at full speed! ;-)
I love his boots. Plus I can just scream "On ya, Boots!" whenever he gets a good run down the wing.Superman still wears Brett Kirk PyjamasComment

While it will be great to see LRT back, the last few times we've played the Dogs he's had no match up and has been as useful as boobs on the proverbial. May be different with B2 out and BBBH in for the Dogs, but hopefully selectors get the match ups right this time.Comment

Anyone who say Nick Smith should be dropped does not know a thing about AFL football and obviously did not watch yesterdays game very closely. The boy has done nothing wrong since his debut for the club.
Out's would have to be: Barlow(definately), Richards and Jetta(maybe's)
In's: LRT, Hanners and Mcglynn.Comment

At the end of last year I stood up and said that if I were in charge I would actually de-list Teddy....got howled down, didn't I....mmmmm"I'll acknowledge there are more talented teams in the competition but I won't acknowledge that there is a better team in the competition" Paul Roos March 2005Comment

There is an obvious "in" on form for this week...which I missed in my list of possible KP reserves...surely Henry Playfair is gonna be better at CHB than Teddy...then we don't have to worry about his dodgy kicking for goal! Played at CHB for the reserves at the weekend and in the best so......"I'll acknowledge there are more talented teams in the competition but I won't acknowledge that there is a better team in the competition" Paul Roos March 2005Comment

I agree with that - a spot-on assessment.Depth in ready to go talls has actually turned out to be skin deep, eh. Ted and Ed are simply not tall footballers (tall men, yes) and neither is Goodesy. Bizarrely Craig Bolton, on the other hand, is a tall footballer as are Braddles and Scarlett even though they are not nearly as tall men!
Current form aside, Ted is a utility player that still has something to offer our team - it is a long season, and he is as brave as they come on the field.
Interesting. He is a very big body and has a crack - perhaps worth a go.There is an obvious "in" on form for this week...which I missed in my list of possible KP reserves...surely Henry Playfair is gonna be better at CHB than Teddy...then we don't have to worry about his dodgy kicking for goal! Didn't see him this weekend, but did the weekend before and he looked dazed and confused most of the time. I don't see him getting in for a while yet. There is an obvious "in" on form for this week...which I missed in my list of possible KP reserves...surely Henry Playfair is gonna be better at CHB than Teddy...then we don't have to worry about his dodgy kicking for goal! Absolutely spot on. The continued support for Richards astounds me. He had to play yesterday because of injuries but surely we won't see him next week.I hate excuses like this. It is only a colour. He could play in pink pokedot boots for all I care. Since when do you have to earn the right to wear boots of a colour which is not black?
