I know he's a tall but blokes like O'Dwyer and Veszpremi must be scratching their heads wondering what they've got to do.
Agreed, Playfair is slow, soft at the contest and a crap kick, on top of that, from all accounts his form in the 2's has been poor. I don't care how tall he is, he adds nothing and the Dogs will carve him up. IMO a woeful sellection, a backward looking sellection. Curry? Vespa? O'Dwyer? Or even the unpredictability of an unknown like Dennis Lane.....

That's what he reminds me of: a geek (not that there's anything wrong with that, just that geeks don't tend to make the best footballers). If he could channel some of that blokey cockiness into his footy things might just start happening for him.
Amen, Sunshine, Amen......couldn't put it better myself, and I have tried.

One thing I don't agree on is that he is soft at the contest. Whilst he couldn't hit a barn door by foot, Playfair is actually a very good contested player and can take a strong grab.

His hands are pretty solid but he has very little physical presence. Just can't see what he brings to the table - surely we'd be better with a lively, small player with more ability.

If Bradshaw does not come up to scratch for tomorrow's game, I'll assume that Playfair we come off the bench and go forward straight away - but who out of the three emergencies would come in - Bevan, MOD, or Heath Campbell?

My thoughts are that Bevan will come back into the team.

There would certainly be a masochistic interest in seeing Turnover Ted, Pyke, Bevan and Playfair line up in the same team.

I can imagine the harmonious groan being echoed around the ground (or at least here on these boards) if they attempt to link-up under ever increasing self-created pressure.

OMG! Has it come to this ???I have more confidence in a guy that has been playing for 18 months from a rugby background than 3 of our selected players! The selectors are being sadistic to the supporters!

Hey, they might all gel together as a unit. Kind of 5 wrongs make a right ?
